About Me
Hi I’m Kerry, I’m a full time mummy living in the beautiful Teme Valley in Worcestershire with my Husband Gerard, our 4 year old Daughter Isla and 1 year old son Alastair. We are a fun and happy family and look forward to welcoming you in to our family :)
My Requirements
I'm looking for a Nanny to help us straight away ideally. We sadly have had to say goodbye to our current nanny of 10 months as she has decided to start a new chapter in a new profession. So we are looking for someone to join us very soon.
We are looking to take on the right person for 2-3 days - there may be the extra day/s during the week, some occasional weekend and/or evening work - we will however try to give as much notice as possible if we do need extra help. Also additional help during school holidays would be great.
Our previous nanny worked 8am-6pm which did work really well but this can be discussed.
Isla is at Nursery local to us and is currently doing 3 full days (8.30-3.30pm) There may be a requirement to do school drop off/pick up occasionally.
We have recently moved back into our house after being out for a year whilst we were renovating it. Although a lot has been done, there’s still a lot to do which takes up a lot of my time.
The role will require childcare for both children, but we do require someone to also help with general day to day tasks around the house, keeping the house tidy, light cleaning, ironing, cooking.
A bit about Isla..
Isla turned 4 recently , she's a very loving, outgoing, energetic, confident and curiously little girl, she loves being outdoors and exploring. She's creative and fun, and full of spirit. She's definitely showing a lot more independence and is growing into a proper little person. Being a typical toddler she's quite strong willed, so someone who can be fair but firm when dealing in some situations such as tantrums, someone who is confident and patient, and can help her express her feelings in better ways. I find a bit of distraction always helps.
Overall she's a kind, funny, theatrical and a cuddly little girl with bags of personality that will have you in hysterics at times.
She is fully potty trained, She's a good traveller in the car. She enjoys going out on her balance bike and scooter. She loves swimming and is so confident in the water! She loves to dress up and role play, dance and play with her babies.
She is a bit of a fussy eater which is something I'm really trying to work on with her, and I'm trying to encourage her to eat new (more nutritional) things.
A bit about Alastair..
Alastair arrived 6 weeks early which was a tad unexpected and a bit of a worry, however after 4 weeks in NICU he was then well enough to come home and has been thriving ever since. Isla just adores him, however I have to remind her to be gentle at times as her cuddles can be a little full on. Hes such a happy little boy, he’s super smiley and curious of the world, hes really on the move now and I feel he could be walking any day!
What we are looking for in a Nanny..
It would be great to find someone who is really proactive and can make themselves busy and helpful, can think up fun creative ways to entertain and educate Isla. I do allow her to watch a little bit of TV at times, but I would much rather her be engaged in something that is going to help her blossom, and challenge her.
As I mentioned, she loves to be outdoors, she loves anything creative - cooking, painting, dancing. It would be great to find someone who is just as enthused about splashing in puddles as she is :) have lots of energy and are happy to crawl around on the floor and get stuck in.
Although we have lots of beautiful countryside all around us, there are some really fun things nearby which I would like her to get involved in occasionally to give her a bit of a change of scene, even having the odd playdate would be good, she has some sweet little pals nearby. I would like her to go swimming more often to keep up her confidence if you would be happy to take her.
As well as childcare I will require someone to help around the house as a bit of a mothers help, such as sorting through Islas toys, washing, Ironing, cooking maybe some light cleaning, making the beds on occasion, perhaps even going out to do a food shop. It might be at times that I have Isla for a couple of hours whilst you are helping elsewhere which would be very much appreciate.
We are really hoping to find someone that is reliable, fun, can get stuck in and be part of the family and I would love to hear from you should you be interested, it would be great to meet you and discuss further.
- Previous experience nannying is essential
- Must have a full clean driving licence and has ideally been driving a couple of years - also has the correct insurance should you take the children out
- Non Smoker
- First aid trained desirable
I look forward to hearing from you
