My Requirements

We are looking for a nanny (ideally live-in part of the week or very local) for our 2 girls (reception and year 1 age) and a boy (who will turn 1) from August/ September 2025.

We live in a spacious farmhouse in Cuddesdon, a rural village, with a beautiful view and big garden. It is only 5 minutes drive from Wheatley which has some shops, a cafe, pubs, library, playgroups etc. We are 15 minutes drive from central Oxford for city amenities. Being rural, driving confidently and owning a car, and being a safe reliable driver on country roads is really important for daily school runs, although the actual distances involved are small (the school is about 2 miles from the house).

We are ideally looking for somebody for two years.

Both parents are hospital doctors and so we are usually home between 6 &7 but sometimes have later finishes (not more than 6 per month). We are looking for 3 or 4 (TBC) days per week nanny to get the kids dressed, give breakfast and drive them to school/ nursery and care for them after school until bedtime.

We ideally want a split day from 0700-0900am then 3pm-7pm. Therefore the job is also suitable for somebody with other commitments during the day for a few hours, e.g a student or professional nanny caring for another local family for a few hours, or somebody with horse to attend to etc. We would want more hours during school holidays- however can supplement with holiday camps etc.

pay £18/hr gross.

We have own private double bedroom and bathroom available if you wish to stay over for later finishes or during the week at any point. We have occasional night shifts but can stagger these, however willingness to stay over occasionally is a plus!

Important and ideal qualities are:

Childcare experience
Being a confident safe driver, ideally with your own car
Enjoys food prep and simple cooking for children and babies
Patient and kind
Responsible and reliable so we don't need to worry when we are at work
Communicative and honest
Looking to join our family and help the girls feel secure and loved
Flexible on hours e.g. if we get stuck in work late one day they will get time off in repayment.
Happy to pat our well trained dog now and then
