My Summary
About Me
No longer available for full time roles. I am able to consider temp roles if the dates work around my present full time role or babysitting.
Please also see attached CV, though I will copy elements of this into the bio.
Introduction
I am a bubbly, joyful, enthusiastic individual who has always enjoyed being around, caring for and entertaining children. In any new role I always ensure I go through the parents' needs and expectations and try to put them at ease, knowing their child is in the best hands. I will go above and beyond to ensure the parents are fully comfortable as I completely understand that introducing a new caregiver into a child’s life can be a difficult task and decision to make.
As a Nanny I promise to ensure the children have the perfect balance between learning, meeting their milestones, maintaining a consistent healthy routine, forming a strong and trusting bond with myself, adapting to their needs and personality, exploring, discovering, and lastly, having fun!
When coming into a role I enjoy bringing along the following;
- A large collection of books that can be read to the child each night. I also have a library card where I will be able to tailor the stories to the child’s age and present interests, along with bringing along infamous classics including Dr Seuss, Julia Donaldson, Disney, David Walliams and so forth.
- I have resources to local attractions and use apps including Kid’s Pass which I am a member of to receive local discounts to ongoing and upcoming children’s activities. I also strive to look for both free and local activities as well as larger days out in order to create a balance.
- Various art supplies, variations in materials and textures, art activities in accordance with present seasons / holidays, sensory experiments, board / card games, puzzles, science experiments exploring simple reactions and creating a space for learning.
- My collection of ‘Teach Sunday School’ resources, if appropriate. I carry out activities such as going through a verse each day and discussing the themes including Joy, Wisdom, Kindness spoken about in the Bible.
- I will also form a list of local activities / seasonal activities as suggestions and, if the parents are happy, we can do them together.
I truly strive to do all I can to not only form a bond with the child, but the parents alike.
Prior to starting I will ensure we have covered and I have noted any of the child's allergies, dietary requirements, current schedule, discuss any medication they may be on, and if required, gain consent to be able to carry this out in their absence, discuss the event of any accidents and what protocol to take when such an accident or sickness occurs, provide and accident handbook where a physical record of all injuries, illness or administering of medication such as calpol can be recorded.
I strive to create a smooth and comfortable transition for all.
My Experience
Please see my CV. I go into a lot of detail on it and it and I feel it truly captures my character and passion!
