My Summary
About Me
My name is Christina. I am an Early Years Childminder in Exeter. My setting offers a warm and welcoming home from home experience, for all aged children. I also do wrap around care from Trinity School, offering breakfasts and evening meals for those that require them or a healthy snack for those that do not.
I do EYFS 'in the moment planning' which is a great way to explore little minds. Child-led learning is also a great way to keep little ones entertained and engaged for longer, resulting in a better learning experience. I am working more towards the Curiosity Approach with a 'hygge' feel to my setting. This is something I am passionate about and believe that it is both rewarding and a successful way to learn in such an environment. I have a nice sized child friendly garden with a sand pit, water station and table and a potion station.
The wellbeing and mental health of all children in my care is really important to me and therefore a priority. I promote independence, healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle. Being out and about exploring is something we do regularly, whether it be picnicking, exploring or just simply enjoying our local area.
My Experience
I have worked in a few nurseries over the years and have loved my time spent in them. I have also in recent years set up and run an edible sensory messy play group that was great fun this is something I do in my setting now for all aged children. I also have positive experience working and caring for children with special educational needs.
My Qualifications
I have completed my first aid training, safeguarding children and young adults training, working with and understanding the EYFS, developing children's learning. I have recently completed my level 2,3 and 4 diploma in SEND.
