My Summary
About Me
Hi! As a mindfulness teacher and counsellor, I understand how tough it can be for young people to deal with all the pressures they face today—from schoolwork and friendships to family life and their own personal struggles.
Through mindfulness, I create a safe, relaxed space where teens can learn to tune into their thoughts and feelings without feeling overwhelmed by them. The goal is for them to feel more in control, peaceful, and better able to handle tough situations. Whether it’s preparing for a big exam, dealing with anxiety, or navigating difficult emotions, mindfulness can give them the tools they need to stay grounded and confident, no matter what comes their way.
My Experience
I am highly experienced in sharing simple mindfulness techniques that can help with stress, anxiety, and challenging emotions, and increase calm, focus, and confidence. I’ve worked with young people in schools and community settings, helping them use mindfulness to cope with challenges like stress, bullying, family issues, and anxiety. I take care to maintain safeguarding at all times. My approach is all about helping to find what works best, and building skills that can help my clients feel calmer, more focused, and ready to face whatever comes next.
My Qualifications
I am a trained mindfulness teacher, registered with the Mindfulness Teachers’ Register in the UK. I hold a range of certifications, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Childhood Mental Health, and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I also have specialised training in working with neuro-diverse young people, trauma-informed care, and safeguarding. These qualifications, combined with my professional experience, enable me to offer safe, ethical, and evidence-based mindfulness practices that are specifically tailored to the needs of young people. My continuous professional development ensures that I stay current with the latest mindfulness research and techniques, providing the highest standard of support for young people working one-to-one and in small groups.
