Ruby

Full time nanny to our one year old

Ruby has been our nanny since October 2021. She has looked after our daughter who is approaching two years old since she was one. Ruby has been an absolutely fantastic nanny to our daughter. She is full of energy and ideas of things to do with our daughter, not only fun and engaging activities, but also ones with an academic angle. Ruby focuses on communication and manners and has helped us to reinforce excellent behaviour in our daughter.



Ruby is extremely reliable, resilient, organised, polite, tidy, and is a general all-round lovely person. We would not be ending our relationship with Ruby other than for the fact that our daughter will start to attend full-time nursery in order to socialise with some more children. That isn’t to say that our daughter hasn’t been socialising with other children, because Ruby has been brilliant at connecting with other nannies and arranging trips and playgroup activities with other children, so much so that our daughter has a great friendship with another of the children in this group.



One of the most important things about having a nanny we found is that he fully trust that they are focused on taking care of your child and keeping them safe and secure. We never have any doubts about this with Ruby. We have full confidence in her keeping our daughter safe and well. Ruby is also brilliant at having a sense of our daughters general health and when she has been unwell Ruby has taken her to the doctor and has helped us with obtaining and administering medication. Ruby is extremely caring and our daughter has a wonderful affinity with Ruby and we know that she will miss Ruby terribly.



Another really impressive thing about Ruby is that she is extremely artistic and creative she has created some lovely toys and activities for our daughter and she always comes up with new ideas for things to get and ways to play and learn. Also Ruby is a brilliant cook she prepares healthy and exciting meals for our daughter. Ruby also brings ideas for Montessori/independent style learning to us that have been extremely helpful in our child’s development. She speaks with our daughter all the time and we have no doubt that this has led to our daughter having an extremely wide vocabulary for her age.



We will all miss Ruby terribly. She has a lovely energy and aura about her, she is very bright and extremely communicative. We feel very lucky to have had this time with Ruby and we know that any family that has Ruby will be very lucky too.
