My name is Sarah Doherty and I am an OFSTED registered childminder. I Live in Middleton, Manchester with my husband Tony and two of our children who are aged 27 and 22 years of age. We also have a miniature Jack Russell called Izzy who is 16 years old and very friendly.
I offer a wide range of activities for children of all ages in our Play room/dining room including books , jigsaws, games, play dough, painting, messy play and a large selection of toys. I also have a fully secure back garden with a range of outdoor activities including sand and water table, scooters, and little tikes car. I also take the children to visit playgroups, soft play areas, sure start centres and parks.
My Experience
Having been a mum to three children I have had lots of experience with looking after children from birth. In my recent Ofsted inspection (March 2025) I was graded GOOD in all areas. I hold a full clean driving licence.

I have completed
* Paediatric first aid course
* Health and food hygiene level 2
* Introductory to safeguarding
* CYPOP5.
* Myself, my husband and my children are CRB checked.
* High 5 level 5
* CACHE level 2 children and young people's workforce
* CACHE level 3
My Availability
My hours of work are Monday - Thursday from 07:30 to 18:00 (flexibility can be discussed on an individual basis).

My son started his first day at school today and is no longer under Sarah’s care .

More on a regular basis .
Sarah and her family looked after my son Stanley for 3 years . He was treated as a member of their family and was loved and looked after like a family member .
Stanley loved going there and always had a variety of trips and educational days out that are too many to mention . There is one to one care when needed and he also had the benefit of playing with other children of other ages . Sarah’s home has a lovely friendly feel and you are made to feel at ease immediately .
Sarah is reliable and nothing was ever too much trouble and she and her family always went above and beyond anything you can call a job role .
Thank you for nurturing and education my child when I wasn’t able to I will always be truly great full for the care he has received .
Stanley had dietary needs that were always followed and respected .

My daughter has been with Sarah since she was 10 months old she is now 3. Sarah and her family have been brilliant with her. i honestly cant fault her. from the moment i met Sarah i felt comfortable her house is lovely and very child friendly they have lots of toys to play with. Sarah goes above and beyond for the children she takes them to play centers and the park and even been to the sea life center. sarah provides a daily diary which makes a great read when you get home from work to see what they have been up too all day when they are not able to tell you.
sarah will cater for your needs and help you out as much as she can she is brilliant. my daughter will miss Sarah when she starts her new adventure at school.

My son has been going to Sarah for two years now and he loves it. I am very happy with the care that Sarah provides. Sarah goes above and beyond and we would be lost without her! I would highly recommend Sarah to anybody!

Sarah has been looking after my 18 month old for 6 months and we have been really pleased with the care she has provided.
Sarah's home is welcoming, clean and homely. When Ellie first started, Sarah was really happy for me to spend time with her there and to introduce her slowly to being left on her own. Ellie is always happy to be left with Sarah and obviously enjoys her time there. She has been involved in lots of different activities such as playgroup, soft play and trips to the park along with all the toys and activities at Sarah's house. Ellie has a daily diary that gives me more details about her day, but Sarah also always has time to talk to me at pick up and drop off times.
I have been very happy and would definitely recommend Sarah as a childminder.
