A truly remarkable nanny

I am delighted to recommend Jackie, who was our child's nanny for over a year, starting when our little one was just 7 months old (in February 2024). From the very beginning, Jackie's warmth and genuine love for children made her an invaluable part of our family.
Jackie is an exceptionally caring and responsible caregiver who brings creativity and enthusiasm to everything she does. She consistently came up with engaging activities, arts and crafts projects, and learning opportunities that helped nurture our child's development. Her natural ability to make each day special while maintaining a secure and loving environment was truly remarkable.
One of Jackie's greatest strengths is her excellent communication and flexibility. She was always responsive, adaptable to our changing needs, and proactive in keeping us informed about our child's daily activities and milestones. Her professionalism, combined with her loving nature, made her an absolute joy to work with.
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Jackie, but I cannot recommend her highly enough. Any family would be fortunate to have her as their nanny. We will always be grateful for the love and care she showed our child.

An asset to our family

Jackie was a nanny to our 3 year old twins before they started preschool full time. Her responsibilities included: organising daily activities, taking the twins on day trips / to toddler classes, preparing meals, light housework and ad-hoc babysitting. Jackie was 100% reliable and trustworthy. She was never late and never let us down. Jackie has such a warm, easy-going personality and was extremely patient. She fitted into our family immediately. You could really tell Jackie had worked as a childcare professional for her entire career. Our children warmed to her instantly and still ask for her.
Jackie was also very well organised and used her initiative and would come to our house with art projects she had pre-arranged for them. Jackie also arranged lovely day trips to new adventure parks/walks around edinburgh . Jackie and the children collected bits of nature on their way and used it in art projects at home. We never heard our children moan with her because they were constantly entertained; jackie was great with imaginary play, reading stories, doing jigsaws etc. There was constant interaction - our children really loved it.
Jackie was a real asset to our family and I have no hesitation recommending her.

Part of the family

Hands down the best nanny that has ever joined our family. Jackie was our nanny from 2020 to 2021. She cared for our two sons, a 6 month old and 5 year old when she started with us. We sadly had to part with her due to our house move out of Edinburgh. We all miss her dearly but have kept contact over the years and our friendship with her hasn't changed. She is genuine, kind with loads of knowledge and experience. Her attitude was always upbeat. She is a very reliable person and we always had full confidence in her capabilities. Jackie is full of ideas and is eager to help out, being mindful and respectful of everyone's needs. The kids absolutely adored her and their relationship with her is beautiful and special. From our experience, any family who has the opportunity to have Jackie as a nanny is incredibly lucky. We feel very fortunate to have had her as our nanny and as a forever friend in our lives.
