My name is Dorcas and I’m an Ofsted registered childminder. I’m a fully qualified Early Years teacher and have many years experience working with children under the age of five. I am also a mother to four lovely teenage children.

In my childcare setting I work with a childcare assistant to provided a safe and stimulating environment where children are able to learn, grow and most importantly have fun! My learning environment has been specifically tailored to ignite curiosity and develop questioning and language skills, as well as providing the opportunity for lots of messy play!
We are always out and about; we attend forest school, visit playgroups twice a week, attend story time sessions at the library and also spend time with other childminding friends. This provides children with the opportunity to develop their social and language skills and to make new friends.

I structure my learning environment following the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, and your child’s development is tracked through learning journals and Next Steps planning.

The outdoors is a wonderful place to ignite curiosity! Children in my setting have the opportunity to explore the outdoors; through daily trips to local parks and nature reserves and weekly forest school activities. I also have a large garden with a 12ft trampoline, swings, a slide, a playhouse, a mud kitchen, scooters and more.

My childcare provision covers Longbridge and the surrounding areas and operates from 7am - 6pm, Monday - Friday. I also offer wraparound care for children attending schools and nurseries in the local area.
