About Me
Hi! We’re Catherine and Phil, a family of five living in central Richmond (TW10 6). We have three young children — William (5), Eddie (3), and Sophie (1). We’re a relaxed and friendly household with a calm routine and lots of fun, but also plenty of laundry, snacks and storybooks! We also have a very lazy dog and two cats — all very chilled, but worth mentioning in case of allergies.
We both work full time (mainly locally, not always in the office), and we’re looking for some ongoing help with after-school care during term time, plus full-time childcare during school holidays. We’re open to this being one person or two — whatever works best.
We’re looking for someone kind, capable, and confident managing three little ones, and ideally someone who enjoys getting stuck in with everyday household tasks too — prepping simple meals, packing lunchboxes, and keeping things ticking over.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a nanny to start in September for:
Term-Time Afternoon Help
• Monday to Friday
• Starting around 2.00–2.30pm, finishing around 5.15–5.30pm
• Start at our home: prepare the kids’ supper, lunchboxes, put on laundry, tidy up
• Pick up Sophie from nursery (3:45pm) and the boys from kindergarten (4:00pm, 10 mins by bus), then bring them home for snack/play until we’re back
Holiday Cover (Full Days)
• Needed during school holidays (half terms, Easter, summer, etc.)
• Roughly 8am–5.15pm, Monday to Friday
• Breakfast, lunch, local outings (parks, soft play, playdates, occasional camp drop-offs), and light help around the house
Other Notes:
• You do not need to drive — everything is walkable or a quick, direct bus
• A German speaker would be a lovely bonus, but not essential
• We’re very happy to hear from people who are only available for one of the two roles
