About Me
My name is Fiona and I have a passion for working with children and have done since 2003.
I am a mum of two beautiful children who both attend the local primary school. We have 1 pet, a cat called Poppy. At home lives my husband Chris, who works shifts and is also a Retained Fire Fighter for North Wales Fire Service in Wrexham, our two children, the youngest born in 2015, a loving, funny, energetic son and the eldest, our daughter born in 2013, who is caring, creative and loves to help out. My husband and I will both hold a full Enhanced DBS Check and First Aid Certificate.
My Experience
I have worked as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in primary schools around Wrexham for the last 15 years, mainly working in the Early Years department. During this time, I have gained lots of valuable experience and training in the Foundation Phase, working with children of all abilities. I intend to use this knowledge as the basis of my Childminding practice to give each child the opportunity to fulfil their full potential. I also have experience of working in private nurseries, nannying abroad, holiday and after school clubs, babysitting and helping friends with their little ones.
My Qualifications
My qualifications include a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years,
Unit 326 Introduction to home-based Childcare.
Unit 327 Preparing for Childminding Practice.
Peadiatric First Aid
Food Hygiene
Safeguarding
I have also completed lots of vocational training courses through Wrexham GWE training as a HLTA.
