My Summary
About Me
I started my childcare experience at 16 years old by volunteering at after school clubs and nurseries. I strongly believe in children learning from being with nature and the outdoors so I would take great joy in being a part of this teaching! I have recently qualified as a nursery practitioner at Ayrshire College, Ayr Campus and have started my BA Child and Youth Studies- this course is all online so therefore I will work around this job and any help that is needed will 100% be given including last minute.
My Experience
I have grown up in a large family and community so therefore have endless babysitting and childcare experience including overnight stays and emergency care. Previously I have worked with children who have autism both verbal and non verbal as well as working in a nursery with a group of children from a range of backgrounds and upbringings. I have recently finished college where I have gained my HNC childhood practice which qualifies me to work in a nursery as a practitioner. I have experience with children aged birth until 10 but am happy and have the knowledge to work with children of any age or ability. I am able to provide younger children with stimulating activities that will improve their development and those older too. I can help children with homework and create fun experiences and activities that are both learning experiences and games. I have experience cooking healthy and fun meals for children and cleaning up, I am happy to lend a hand around the house as I know how busy your life can get! I will be fully committed to your family and children’s development during this time and hope for your consideration in this job role.
My Qualifications
During my time in secondary school I gained Maths, English, Modern Studies, Spanish and Young Volunteers Award.
Through work experience in secondary school I was awarded the Sports Leader Of The Year Award.
I attended Inverness uni UHI and qualified with my Level6 Sports Development where I learned about the body, healthy food and exercise for your body and mind.
I have just qualified as an early years practitioner in my home town and I am starting my university online course BA Child and Youth Studies.
My Availability
Due to my course being online I am available at all times. Any work I may have to be completed will be done around this job and it will not interfere with the care and support of your children. I must stress that I am 100% happy for last minute emergency care and as I can drive the transport is not a problem.
