I am a qualified, experienced Teacher who can offer traditional and modern methods of learning on Zoom.
I have spaces available for Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
After an initial assessment I can offer your child a place in a small group with other children of similar ability or on occasions 1:1.

My Experience
I have over twenty years experience teaching in schools across Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire.
I have taught Early Years and KS1 and I have had on going training in various Phonic Programmes, including ...

With my experience of teaching Early Years and KS1, I have created many resources to support the teaching of phonics and children's reading. I use the Statutory Programmes of Study and Attainment targets for English and past programmes which I have used throughout my teaching career which have proved to be the most successful.
I start by assessing your child’s learning needs through reading and writing activities and introduce lots of talking and listening.
I plan personalised lessons to build confidence and challenge! I target gaps in your child’s learning such as spelling, punctuation and grammar by introducing fun creative activities.
My assessment is ongoing, and any misconceptions will inform the planning for their next lesson.

Tina has been tutoring my 9 year old son for a few months now. She is engaging, kind and patient and her teaching material is great. I highly recommend.
Overall
Tina has been an amazing asset in helping my daughter advance and succeed while being homeschooled through year 1. Tina takes the time to work out what’s the best plan and then tailor makes it for the child. We have been using Tina for 25 weeks now and my child’s ability to read and write has improved immensely. Tina is very kind and caring and my daughter loves having the one on one tutoring.
The lessons are enjoyable and made for her meaning everything she is learning is not only inline with school curriculums (which is really important to us) but what is best for her.

Thank you so much for a lovely review. I very much enjoy planning and delivering the all the learning activities for our lessons. It's a privilege to see how ****** has grown in confidence with her reading and writing skills. Thank you again, Tina.
Tina has been providing weekly 1:1 English sessions with my son who’s currently in year 5. During the last couple of months we have seen a dramatic improvement in his comprehension and his writing and it has been noticed by his normal school teacher. My son has started to grow confidence in his abilities and Tina has been instrumental in recognising my son’s needs and coming up with a plan that suits him and more importantly enjoyable and fun for him to learn. We understand that our son still needs the additional support but he does looks forward to carry on his learning journey with Tina. We can’t thank Tina enough for her help and support with our son and understanding of his and our needs.

Thank you for your review. I am extremely pleased with the progress made. He is a pleasure to teach!
We are 2 months in with Tina and I can already see very clear improvements in my son's reading, writing and spelling.
She's got him using the dictionary in year 1!
Tina's method of teaching is very simple, creative, fun and every effective.
I am very satisfied with my son's progress and I would definitely recommend Tina.
