About Me
Hello, my name is Crystal, welcome to TWINKLE TOTS -
I live in Wick, Littlehampton with my Husband and 2 children.
Our home provides a welcoming, home from home, fun environment where children can learn, play and explore the world. I believe children develop and learn best through doing, which is why our days are built around activities that encourage this.
Our home is equipped with toys, arts and crafts, books, outdoor play and much more to keep their little minds churning whilst at home. We also love to go on adventures all over Town, which gives us the opportunity to explore and stimulate your child's imagination every day by getting outdoors. Endless fun can be had looking out for all wildlife, playing pooh sticks or visiting the ducks and swans in the park. Getting outdoors will play a big part of our everyday all year round, whether it means jumping in muddy puddles or doing roly poly’s in the grass.
I’m a big fan of cooking and feel passionate about instilling healthy attitudes towards food from a young age, therefore, a variety of healthy, nutritional meals will be served each day.
I have recently registered as a childminder because working with children has long been something I’ve dreamt of doing. Then, once I had my children and I got to see them grow, my passion for childcare grew stronger. While on maternity leave I worked closely with another childcare setting being their assistant, which just showed my love and passion even more.
I believe the characteristics needed for this role, patience, caring, kindness, understanding, etc are all essential when working with children. I provide a safe, comfortable, warm environment for children where they can thrive.
As a mum myself, I understand how difficult it can be to leave you child. Open and regular communication is key to making the transition as easy on you and your little one as possible, it also plays an important role going forward to make sure I can provide the best possible care for their development. Individual learning journals will be used to show you how they are learning, interacting and developing.

My Experience
A mum of 2 incredible boys, getting to understand motherhood & the development of a child first hand.
I spent 6 months working as an assistant in a full childminding setting, helping provide the day to day care of children between the ages of 1 to 10. I believe this gave me a real insight into what I can do to give the best child care support to surrounding families.
