About Me
My name is Paula Brown. I am a childminder who shares the setting with my daughter, Kerrie. I am 50 years old, I have two children, aged 24 and 19, and an 8 month old granddaughter. My daughter Kerrie is 24, who is also an ofsted registered childminder has a degree in childcare and child development and has a 1 year old daughter. Our setting is a home away from home setting where we want all children to feel happy, safe & enjoy their time with us. We have a large outdoor area where we love to spend a lot of our time!
My Experience
I was previously registered as a childminder between 2002-2009. Since then I have been working in primary schools in the office and also covering lunch time duties with the children. I have completed a pre-registration course for childminding, my First Aid training and anaphylaxis training. I am also fully DBS checked, as is everyone else who lives in my house. Kerrie is fully DBS checked and has work experience working in child protection and safeguarding team in a primary school through her uni degree. Her uni degree was Working with Children, Young People and Families. We have both done further safeguarding training, a pre-registration course, first aid and food hygiene.
My Qualifications
Paediatric First Aid (Including anaphylaxis training)
Safeguarding (Including FGM and Prevent Duty)
Pre-registration Course for childcare in Leeds.
My Availability
We are available Monday-Thursday between the hours of 7:30am and 5pm. This is not set in stone, if there is a slight variation of the time that you are needing please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Our fees are £5.00ph, this will include breakfast and lunch and healthy snacks throughout the day. As there will be 2 childminders in the setting, we have put our rate as £5.00ph as we feel it enables us to have more flexibility for ourselves and parents.

My son has been attending Paula & Kerrie's care for the past month. He is now nearly 8 months old and I find him so very happy with them. He eats and sleeps well. They read to him and ensure he gets lots of play and activities throughout the day. They are very thoughtful and let my husband and me know everything about the day through baby days app. They are kind and very caring and make an amazing team.
