My Summary
About Me
I’ve recently left a long term position in a nursery setting, and am looking for childcare work that will fit around adhoc work I do through the agency I work for. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music Production and Performance, and hope to one day be a music therapist who specialises in working with children.
I play guitar, and am happy to teach this too, if there’s interest!
Unfortunately I can’t drive just yet, and I understand that this might be a deal breaker! I’m also not Ofsted registered, but would be willing to do this eventually for the right family!
My Experience
For a year and a half I nannied for a young boy with ASD and ADHD. A few times a week I picked him up from school, entertained him at the park, or on the school premises, then took him home via public transport to meet his mum when she finished work. I found that establishing a routine with him was really helpful, and was more than happy to give him the choice of what activities to do in order to make the transition between the school environment and the home environment easier.
Over the course of a year, I looked after a lovely 6 year old girl at various times of the day. For a period of time I took on the before school duties - waking her, assisting and encouraging her in getting dressed, encouraging independence as she prepared her own breakfast, doing her hair, helping her check that her bag was packed, and walking her to school. This later led to after school care - picking her up from school, preparing a snack, and walking her to ballet class, before bringing her home, making her dinner, supervising bath time, and occasionally putting her to bed.
For roughly 4 months I nannied for two girls, aged 5 and 3. I would help them with breakfast, play with them until it was time to leave for school, then drop the off at school. On days where I’d also do pick up, I would walk them home, prepare their dinner, play with them until their parents came home from work.
Over the summer of 2022, myself and another nanny looked after twin boys, aged 4, with SEN twice a week. The twins were non-verbal, had ARFID, and would also regularly elope. We took them on outings and tried to find new activities that they loved. Their favourite was a big enclosed playground, where they were able to explore more independently, with different hights and movements.
As well as these roles I have also worked in a SEN school, working with an extensive range of needs. For the past 10 months, I’ve been working in a nursery setting with ages 6 months to 4.5 years. I have recently left this position.

My Availability
Currently I’m available most days, with the exception of Thursdays, as I’ve taken on a role in a primary school on a short term basis. I prefer to keep my weekends free, but for the right family I’m sure I could make some changes.
