I'm friendly, outgoing and kind with numerous years experience in education and childcare. I work as a secondary school History teacher but have previously nannied for primary and secondary age families. I am looking for weekend babysitting and holiday roles. My Experience
I am currently a secondary school teacher and feel confident teaching a range of subjects at KS2 and KS3 levels, into KS4. I have a 1st Class Honors in a BA History Degree, 3 A-Levels (including A in biology and B in History) and 11 GCSE's (A*-A).
Previously I have worked as a live in Nanny in London, working with a 13 year old with cerebral palsy and his twin sister. This role included creating fun summer holiday activities, home schooling, and general personal care. I thoroughly enjoyed the role but could not continue full time due to education commitments.
Prior to this I was team leader on National Citizen Service: responsible for the support and welfare of 12 teenagers - including on two weeks of residential activities. To keep these 16-18 year olds engaged and participating in fun activities, I planned and organised fun sessions to ensure everyone was supported.
At university I worked as a student ambassador for three years. In this role I talk to pupils and parents about opportunities in higher education and doing outreach work.
I love working with children and young people. While my professional experiences have been geared towards children in secondary schools, I have routinely enjoyed babysitting for younger children.
My Qualifications
I have numerous DBS checks. I have also completed a Lifeguarding certificate - although this qualification has expired. I would be happy to complete a First Aid Training course.
My Availability
I am currently working fulltime as a teacher so am only available weekends and in the school holidays.
