About Me
My job entails to safeguard the children by securing any hazards and ensuring their wellbeing is safe. I also, prepare meals and snacks and ensure health and safety is being used, such as consideration of allergies.
I also plan activities accordingly to the child’s interests and needs and create plans on how to achieve their goals for their learning and development. I teach children new topics every month to enhance their knowledge so they can be the best that they can be!
I also put children to sleep when they feel the need to rest, which usually happens after having lunch.
My job is strictly working with parents; ensuring we are all working together to achieve their child’s potential.
I am 21 years old and my whole life, it has been me and my mum and I have seen the struggle she has been through to look after me. She gave all her free time just to take care of me, she had no family just me and her. This inspired me to become a helper for parents- especially single parents who are struggling and just need time for themselves without feeling guilty. I also want to be an example to children that we can succeed and thrive with the support of just one parent, not only both.
My Experience
I have over three years experience of working in nurseries (five including studying and work experience). I have worked in an outstanding setting and have been a room leader in two other nurseries. I have a highly good reputation for my profession due to my passion for children!
I read child care books on a daily basis so I am up to date on child education and protection, which I usually do on my breaks at work.
I have many qualifications which include Child Care level 2, Health and social care level 2, food and hygiene and will have completed my first aid pediactric training on 15.08.2021. As mentioned before, I am currently working towards completing my level 3 childcare qualification.
I also own my own vehicle, so I therefore have a valid UK driving lisence, and I also have a enhanced DBS check.
