About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder, a Montessori Assistant for children aged 0 to 3, and for children aged 3 to 6. I am also a teacher of the classical guitar, and general musicianship, as well as a qualified children's yoga teacher, registered with The British School of Yoga.
Member of the National Childbirth Trust.
My Experience
CLASSICAL GUITAR TUITION
I studied the classical guitar formerly at Leeds Conservatoire, and have furthered my study of the guitar with Professor Michael Lewin of the London Academy of Music, and Professor Carlos Bonell of the Royal College of music. I have been teaching and performing the Spanish guitar for over thirty years, and it is my greatest pleasure to introduce children to music in all its forms. I tutor the Classical guitar on a private basis.
BESPOKE CHILDCARE
I hold a CACHE award for Home Based Childcare, and take care of only one child at a time at my home-based setting. Looking after one child, enables me to give them all the attention they need, and for me to really get to know that child in order to provide the most fulfilling learning environment for them.
Being a Montessorian, I believe that today's children are our future, and must be nurtured accordingly; gently encouraged to be independent, and given the right environment in which to thrive happily, safely, and confidently.
