About Me
Childminding takes place at my 4 bedroom house in a quiet cul de sac on the outskirts of Langley about 1 mile from the train station and the M4. I have a fully enclosed, safe, medium size garden. It is a non smoking household and there are no animals. I am a driver with a 7 seat car and have a full range of age appropriate car seats.
I offer high quality care where children learn through play, organised activities and social interaction. I implement the EYFS as required by Ofsted to ensure each child has the best possible outcomes. I have an Ofsted grading of ‘outstanding’ (March 2023)
My setting has a happy, safe and relaxed atmosphere where children can feel home from home. Children have access to all rooms downstairs and upstairs is a quiet area for sleeping. I have a downstairs bathroom for children to use.
I have a large selection of toys and activities which are rotated for indoor play plus drawing and craft materials. In the garden there is a wooden playhouse with play kitchen and picnic table. I also have a toddler slide, ride-on toys, balance bikes, a Little Tykes car and for warmer weather I have a water table and paddling pool.
I attend a local playgroup and library song time during term time and there is a park with a well equipped playground close by. I read books and do songs daily and always incorporate vocabulary and numbers in everything we do. Sometimes we visit the local library, feed the ducks or go to a soft play and occasionally we will visit a farm or other attraction.
I have several reference letters/cards from previous families and current families are happy to be contacted regarding my services
My Experience
I have been a Childminder continuously since 1998 having previously worked as a catering manager at BA. I have 3 grown up children and 4 young grandchildren. I have experience of managing allergies and food intolerances and can cater for dietary requirements.
I have some experience of children with autism.
I hold a current paediatric first aid certificate and have undertaken safeguarding training plus courses such as autism awareness, prevent duty, fgm awareness and others
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 childcare qualification.
My HND is in Hotel, catering and institution management
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday and generally work between the hours of 7am and 5pm but there is some flexibility in timings

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My hourly rate is fully inclusive of everything except nappies and any special baby foods such as formula milk. There are no extra charges.
I charge full fee for bank holidays and for parents holidays and time off but there is no fee charged for my holidays or time off
