About Me
Hi I am a OFSTED registered Good childminder, with a full time availability
I live with my dog called Toby and my cat named Snuggles. I have lots of space inside to play and do activities I also have a secure garden with lots of toys .I aim to provide your child with a safe and secure space to learn and grow. I also aim to enable children to have lots of fun, become independent, confident and ready for school. I value the importance of education and child development and aim to cater to your child's individual needs to allow them to grow into capable, positive children. I believe that opportunities to visit outdoor spaces, interact and develop social skills with other children and recognising their own strengths and potential are of paramount importance in child development. I offer a home from home environment.
My Experience
I have now been childminding 2 years so just had my first graded inspection in July 23 and received a solid Good
I also have 2 grown up children and 2 grandchildren that’s I have cared for
I previously was a foster carer for 4 years which gave me a wide range of experiences dealing with the emotional and educational needs of a child
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 diploma in childcare as well as many other child development training, such as paediatric first aid, knowledge and first-hand experience of a range of attachments and therapeutic parenting I recently completed a course on mental health in early years .

My Son Harry has been coming to Flora’s for nearly two years now. Being born during Covid meant he had little interaction with anyone/anything other than the people in his household. From the moment I met Flora I knew I wouldn’t ever have to worry about Harry. Flora continuously shows kindness, warmth and love towards Harry and has really helped Harry grow into a happy and confident little boy in a warm and safe environment.
Harry loves going to Flora’s house where he has access to lots of different toys, activities and trips out, this has massively helped Harry’s development. Flo has helped Harry to learn his numbers and colours and to broaden his language skills in a kind and person-centred way. Flo is constantly pushing Harry for greatness and myself and my partner are so thankful for this.
Flora has amazing knowledge around child development which has been very much appreciated on our side as we have not had much involvement with health visitors so for Flora to inform us and guide us to help Harry reach his milestones and thrive is incredible as we wouldn’t have had a clue about this. Flora will sit and speak with me about these targets and is always full of solutions and ideas and is always pushing for Harry to achieve these milestones.
Flora really does go above and beyond for not only Harry but for our family too. She has been so accommodating and flexible for our family and is always putting Harrys needs first. Harry really does receive a high-quality level of child centred care and myself and my partner feel so lucky. Flora is such an amazing childminder, and we are so fortunate that our son has been in her setting she really does provide a home from home experience and are forever grateful for all her guidance and support.
Overall, as a family we are just so blessed to of had Flora to be apart of Harry’s life and will highly recommend her setting to anyone!!
