About Me
Hello! I am a married mother of three amazing daughters. I am committed to ensuring all children are given the best opportunities and experiences that will help them to flourish in a safe, caring environment. I am hardworking, trustworthy and reliable. I am good fun with loads of energy and love being busy and I have excellent references. I work from my home in Birkdale.
My Experience
I have 34 years of childcare experience ranging from nannying, home help, nursery worker, youth club leader, residential social worker, supporting children and young people with disabilities and college tutor.
My Qualifications
Recently rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Certificate of excellence from Childcare.co.uk.
NVQ level 3 childcare and education.
Certificate in Social work.
Certificate of Education for further education facilities.
Paediatric First Aid certificate.
PREVENT training.
Food safety and hygiene certificate.
Enhanced DBS certificate specifically for working with children and young people in a home setting.
My Availability
I am full for the foreseeable future but things can change so please feel free to send a message with your childcare requirements and if I can help I will. Please note that I work term time only, from 7.30am until 3.30pm-4pm (off on a Wednesday) and do not offer school drop-offs or pick-ups.

- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
From £7 an hour. This price reflects my vast experience of working with children and my understanding of child development. I have excellent references and reviews and my home has a huge, dedicated space to help your child reach their full potential through play and planned activities.

Our little girl has only been with Clare since September but we’ve been in contact for a year before she started. I knew as soon as I stepped foot into their setting that it was the perfect place for us. Clare, Gary & Hannah are just the most wonderful people and I honestly cannot express just how kind, thoughtful, caring, loving and special they are. Avery has absolutely thrived since starting there and she knowing how happy, safe & loved she is makes me so happy as an anxious first time mum. I cannot recommend them enough. They have already made such a difference to Avery’s little life and ours and we are so grateful for all of them. No matter what day or time we go it’s always so calm, happy, friendly & the attention each child gets is second to non. They really are like a second family to Avery. Thank you so much for creating such an amazing place for little people to grow and learn ❤️

Our little girl has been with Clare and family for 2 years now. The care and attention R has had has put us at ease from day 1. Our little boy has been there for a year + and we are thrilled with the care they both get.
As soon as we walked in we knew it was the right place for R. She was sensitive and easily overwhelmed in Nursery setting. Shes now a confident, bright, school ready little person and I know that being in a warm, caring and personalised setting has helped her thrive.
Clare has made a really difficult thing to do, guilt free and easy. Knowing theyre in safe hands and genuinely having fun whilst they learn and play, has been peace of mind for us.

We used Clare this summer for wrap around school holiday care and had a fantastic experience. Clare and her team are so friendly and warm and naturally good with children, while also highly professional and qualified.
The house, garden and the facilities are absolutely outstanding and both my little girls seemed so happy there. Clare is so friendly, helpful and informative and immediately makes you feel comfortable and reassured. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. I just wish we could use you all the time :-) Thankyou Clare! Xxx

Clare is THE best childminder around. She has such a beautiful way with all the children she cares for, she’s an inspiration to them and parents alike, the family home Clare works from is ‘home from home’ and a safe nurturing environment. She has this unique and wonderful way of treating all the children in her care as complete individuals and gets to know them and their own needs in a way as good as theur own parents in my view. Her husband Gary and daughter Hannah who are part of her childminding support network are just as amazing. When i brought my son to them out of nursery, it was initially related to one thing then ended up being five star in all areas. I wouldn’t have my son anywhere else ♥️♥️♥️

Our little girl has been going to Clare for nearly a year now and we could love her more!! She’s so caring, our daughter loves going. She has so much fun. From the moment we met I felt comfortable and knew my daughter would be safe and cared for. The kids have a healthy diet, a wide range of activities to do, special activities for holidays, a huge garden to play in and get loads of fresh air. Couldn’t ask for a better childminder! Will be getting a place saved for our next one when the time comes. Thank you Clare!

From the minute I walked into Clare's house for a look round I knew my daughter was going to love it there! My daughter started with Clare at 4.5months old and has been there for 2 years now. She loves it! She loves Clare and her whole family it really is a home from home!
Clare is always amazing and the kids adore her, she plans activities that they enjoy, picks up on their interests and just makes learning fun.
Honestly couldn't recommend her enough! I tell everyone I know I scored the jackpot when we found Clare x

Where to start? Well from day one we where in love with the prospect of Clare caring for our daughter and we have not regretted it since. The care she shows the children in her care is second to none. She keeps you updated with all progress and any concerns. There's plenty of activities and fun things to keep the kids entertained and educated, theres so much room for the kids to have fun outside.Our daughter absolutely adores Clare and her family, she makes you feel like part of the family. Honestly can not recommend her enough ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We used Clare for around a year for my son, we had only ever used an official nursery setting so was very nervous about hiring a childminder. However, Clare and her family were absolutely amazing! Always very clear communication, accomodating to our childcare needs, understanding when usual life issues crop up.
Would highly recommend her! We still rave about how good she was and recommend her to friends and family. We still keep in touch now and if we ever need a childminder again she would be the first we would contact

Clare has been an absolute godsend, she has looked after both my children during the summer holidays and they have loved every minute.
She has amazing space for the children to play and her family are amazing with the kids too.
Clare always plans activities and trips out, my children really look forward to their days there and have only good things to say about her.
She is kind and loving and I feel completely at ease leaving my children with her.
I honestly couldn’t have hoped for a better person to look after my children, I would recommend Clare to everyone, she sends me updates and pictures throughout the day and is really flexible around our needs.

Claire stated looking after my 2 shortly after I lost my husband. She was amazing and the kids took to her very quickly. Flexible, accommodating, trustworthy. Lovely indoor and outdoor space for the kids. Would recommend.
