About Me

Welcome to Charlene's Childminding.
Charlene's Childminding is located in Tottenham, N17 and is registered by an Ofsted-Approved childminding agency.
We are within reach and walking distance of White Hart Lane Station and Bruce Castle Park.
Our home childcare setting is run by myself and my mother (registered childminder and childminding assistant).
What do we provide?
We provide reliable, flexible, and quality childminding services for families with children aged 1 to 4 years old.
A large outdoor space with play activity areas.
A beautiful indoor home nursery setting with a cosy, bright, and colourful spacious playroom.
A playroom that offers a rich and enabling environment to embrace inclusiveness and diversity.
Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and inspired by different educational approaches such as: Montessori and the Curiosity Approach.
Our curriculum also covers emerging interests of both indoor and outdoor learning environments and the experience.
My Experience
Background
Charlene:
I have over 10 years of experience working with children, young adults, and the elderly. I am a caring and nurturing individual with a very passionate interest in childcare and development and health & social care.
I have worked various settings, from being a nursery assistant to a school meal supervisory assistant to a classroom assistant. I also gained extensive experience in children care homes and primary schools in Tottenham. With the immense experience and first-hand knowledge I gained over the years, this prompted me to pursue a career in home-based childcare; a profession in childminding where I believe I can offer the best level of care and support for children.
I have studied health and social care at the University of Bedfordshire and also have certificates in childcare, child education, outdoor play, child neglect awareness and autism awareness, and many more.
Lorna:
I am a retired nurse with thirty years plus years experience and immense education built in working from various hospitals. I have also gained extensive experience volunteering and working in local primary schools. With the experience I gained over the years, it prompted me to pursue a career in childminding and working together with my daughter in providing home-based childcare.
We are DBS checked and have paediatric first aid training, safeguarding, and food hygiene certification.
