My Summary
About Me
Hello parents/carers,
I am a fully qualified and practising primary school teacher, with extensive experience in KS1 & KS2.
Ensuring that children have the confidence and resilience to progress by learning independently, whilst developing the skills and knowledge required to succeed, is my ultimate goal. I pride myself on having a kind, positive and approachable character, allowing me to build a safe and conscientious learning environment with all pupils.
It is my belief that learning can, and should be, enjoyable for all. It is about tailoring the learning experience to the learner, particularly at a young age, so children are engaged with the activity.
Through my experience and practice, I can provide effective support pitched at the right level to develop the potential of each pupil individually. After scoping an individualised plan for your child, I can help to support parents with how to best implement learning strategies at home to mirror their learning at school.
My Experience
My classroom experiences range from Reception through to Year 6, primarily based in KS1.
KS1 is where my passion for education lies - as it is where the foundations for learning are created. Without a sound phonic knowledge, it is difficult to progress with reading and writing. It is this foundational knowledge that allows all children to access the full curriculum, allowing them to fulfil their academic potential.
I am currently a Year 6 teacher and therefore understand the importance of preparing well for the SATs. I recognise the importance of providing tailored support to your child navigating these crucial assessments. Assessing gaps in knowledge for Maths, Reading and SpaG allows me to provide effective tutoring sessions to empower children to build confidence, master challenging concepts, and achieve their full potential.
My professional experience allows me to continually assess a child's progress and therefore differentiate work where appropriate, to ensure they are secure in their learning. Positive praise and continuous revision of learning will result in effective acquisition of knowledge taught in the national curriculum.
