Hello,
I am an Ofsted-registered childminder with over 15 years of experience. I live with my husband and our two children, and I have a passion for cooking, traveling, and outdoor activities. I am a caring, patient, and dedicated person who truly enjoys working with children. Seeing them happy and secure brings me great joy, and I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for each child in my care. I also believe in partnering closely with parents to help achieve the best outcomes for the children.
Diversity and inclusion are core values in my childcare setting. I believe that every child, regardless of background, deserves a nurturing and inclusive environment where they feel valued, respected, and supported in their unique identities and experiences.
Safety and well-being are fundamental to our childcare ethos. My setting is equipped with a wide range of resources designed to encourage each child’s growth and help them reach their full potential. We have a dedicated playroom for childminding activities and a spacious garden that the children enjoy daily.
I prepare a variety of meals, including fish stew, chicken risotto, chicken curry, pasta dishes, and more. I provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks each day. Many of my families have come to me through recommendations. We regularly go on outings to farms, parks, libraries, soft play centers, and woods, ensuring the children experience a rich variety of activities. I work with Ofsted registered assistants so we have a good child to adult ratio.
My home is conveniently located within a 10-15 minute walk of both Bromley South and Shortlands Train Stations, and there is ample parking available on my street.

My Experience
For the past 15 years, I have cared for children ranging from 3 months to 11 years old, working with wonderful families—many of whom I’m still in touch with today. In addition, I’ve raised my own two daughters, who are now in secondary school, and I’m incredibly proud of them and all they have achieved.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Managing Business Information, I also have a level 3 in home based childcare. I am also trained in first aid, chid protection, Child Development, Food and Nutrition, observations, early years foundation Stage and more.

The search for an appropriate childcare setting for one's baby or young child can be daunting and overwhelming. At least, that is how I felt with my first child ahead of returning to work. I spoke with friends, did alot of research, visited various settings and then visited Kelly's home following a friend's recommendation.
Kelly's warmth, knowledge and professional experience in EYFS, and the ambience of her home setting ticked the right boxes for my husband and me. From my son's first day at Kelly's, she kept us well-informed about how he was doing which continued throughout his time with Kelly until he went off to pre-school.
Through Kelly's careful application of the early years curriculum and continuous improvement, my son progressed well physically, socially and emotionaly, and he transitioned easily to pre-school. When I had a second child, having had a brilliant experience with Kelly and her fantastic team, it was an easy decision to secure a place at Kelly's setting. Both kids had an amazing time with Kelly who made her home, 'home away from home' for them.
Kelly, her family and her team were very instrumental in helping my kids thrive, and a blessing to my family. It is an immense joy to have worked with them. Thanks Kelly!

Kelly's childcare made my life as a solo Mum amazing. Knowing how happy she was everyday was fabulous. Kelly goes above and beyond. Nutritious homemade food, parties, games, circle time, learning songs..so much. My daughter went from 9 months until she started school and 4 years and 3 months. She really flourished, in such a nurturing environment that encourages independence. Kelly's approach to learning is ideal - fun group sessions and really thoughtful 1:1 work with each child. My little girl was so ready for school when she finished at Kelly's. Honestly, this is childcare at it's best and I struck gold!

There is no better childcare than Kelly’s childcare – Kelly provides such a loving and nurturing care, and I am so lucky to have found her.
My daughter has been happy at Kelly’s from day 1 and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the love and the attentive care that Kelly and her team has given to my daughter. She has a wonderful relationship with Kelly and her team, and she has made good friends with the other children.
Kelly is very organised, and she provides a structured childcare with taking the children out to play (with the paddling pool in Kelly’s garden in the summer!) and by providing delicious home-made meals daily that my daughter is a big fan of – often asking me to make her a lasagna like Kelly does! Kelly has taught my daughter how to write her name, she creates a great routine with lots of story reading, circle time and celebrating all the holidays in a fun manner with lots of games and dressing up and with the photos being shared after for the memories.
It means so much to me (and every parent) to find someone who you can trust with your dearest child whilst you are busy at work, and I feel at ease knowing that my child is in such safe and loving hands.
I am very grateful to Kelly and her team for managing to look after my child so well, and not only providing for her basic needs, but also making it a fun, friendly and warm environment where my daughter develops and thrives.

Kelly and her lovely team have been looking after my little boy for over two years (Age 1 - now over 3yrs). He has flourished under her care and absolutely loves every day that he spends there.
Kelly has created a special setting with home cooked healthy food, nurturing developmental milestones (counting, speaking, drawing, potty training), fun activities and most of all filled with care. She is always finding new ways to make her already amazing setting even better.
I honestly couldn't recommend Kelly highly enough. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her.

My daughter has attended Kelly's childcare since she was 6 months old and she is now nearly 3 years old. I feel extremely lucky to have found Kelly to help me with my daughter. It's so comforting to know that she is happy being with Kelly and her team while I have to work, and she says to me that Kelly is her best friend!
The children do educational activities every day and when the weather is good there are outings to the park, library, a nearby farm and other things which my daughter loves.
Kelly always serves a good balanced diet to the children. I haven't seen any fast food on the menu. Lots of fruit and nutritious meals.
I recently had another baby and Kelly was so helpful during this time. She helped my daughter understand by reading books to her about new baby brother.
I highly recommend Kelly and her team. She provides a home away from home environment with very caring and attentive staff.

If you're looking for a childminder in the Shortlands/Bromley area I'm not entirely sure why you'd bother looking for anyone other than Kelly.
My daughter has been going since she was around 11 months old and has just turned 3. Kelly and her team are FABULOUS. She provides nutritious meals and snacks all day (I've been there in the morning and seen freshly cooked fishy curry, meatballs, mixed vegetables on the stove, and fruit platters - served like you would expect for adults).
Kelly takes the children on day trips either by car (if you consent) or in giant prams to local parks. The children are actively encouraged to learn about nature, as well as how to play together nicely indoors. My daughter's vocabulary at 3 is almost better than some adults I know at this point.
Kelly's house is set up perfectly. There is a large garden and different rooms for different aged children. There are also books EVERYWHERE, and they read at least one book together every day. I know the children paint together and my daughter particularly likes "show and tell" and "circle time".
We receive daily whatsapp updates on what the children have learnt and eaten, as well as quick updates at drop off and collection. At the end of last year we were even given a report, which was more like a book, providing a lot of detail about different development areas, where the children are, and next steps. Prior to my daughter turning 3, we received written daily updates in a dedicated children's book.
I honestly couldn't recommend Kelly enough. I'm only sad that our time might come to an end soon as my daughter is staring pre-school (although I'm holding on by a thread that she can continue even for a few hours!).

Kellys Childminding Service is the most wonderful place for children to develop, grown and thrive.
Kelly and her team have created a calm, incredibly warm and safe environment in which all the children in her care benefit from her knowledge, attention to detail and love.
My youngest boy has been with Kelly from 10months and he is now over 3. Under her expert care he has thrived. From day 1 Daniel felt comfortable and happy in Kelly's care. Her settling period was so organised and gave us so much support as parents. Since he joined Kelly's he has formed the most brilliant friendships, his confidence has grown, and he is thoroughly happy. Kelly is always able to share her expertise with parents and gives detailed feedback daily with regards to the children. My oldest son has been to Kelly's for breakfast club and collected from school since reception, and he loves the fun activities and healthy, homemade and substantial meals that Kelly prepares.
Kelly's setting really is a home from home, her and her brilliant team and her lovely family welcome you in as part of the extended family and the genuine care and love shown towards the children is honestly fantastic. I could not recommend Kelly highly enough, she is amazing.

Our daughter has been in Kelly and her assistants care between the ages of 12 months and 26 months so over a year. We’re so sad to leave her setting but moving away.
Our daughter has blossomed in her setting. We arrive to big smiles and she’s always been really happy there.
Gorgeous big garden for the summer. Hot, healthy meals and plenty of snacks keep the, going all day. She comes home every day with cute artwork.
We love that Kelly’s house Operates likes a small nursery but with intimate care too, the best of both worlds.
Most importantly you can tell the ladies all really care about the kids and form bonds with them.
We only hope our daughter likes her next nursery as much as Kelly’s.
