About Me
Hello! I'm Julia and I live near Dundonald Park with my son who is 4 years old.
My Requirements
I'm looking for an after-school nanny to collect my son from Dundonald Primary School and take him home which is a five minute walk away. At the moment we only need someone for Summer Term 2025 (22 April - 21 July, excluding half-term) but this might change.
If you want to travel to us by car and drive, I have a large driveway (and don't own a car!) so there would be space for you to park.
Pick up would be at 15:15 and I'd like someone for the following hours:
Mon: 15:00 - 18:00
Tue: 15:00 - 19:00
Wed: 15:00 - 17:00
Thu: 15:00 - 18:00
Noah is a very happy little boy who is settled at both school and home. However I should flag that he is diagnosed autistic with learning difficulties and currently non-verbal. He does have comprehension, likes routines and follows basic instructions. I don't want anyone to feel too daunted as in many ways he's quite an easy child.
He likes to do a lot of solo play so it would be lovely if you could spend a bit of time trying to engage him to develop his play skills. Equally he'd appreciate some time out after the busy school day so it shouldn't be too taxing. His favourite things are numbers and anything Hey Duggee related!
It would be a bonus if you have experience of children who are developmentally delayed or have SEN but really I'd be happy with any trustworthy, emotionally intelligent and caring individual who is confident about responding to a child who whilst happy and fun is also a bit different.
We've had 3 wonderful after-school nannies since Noah started school in September and but sadly they had to leave us - one for a full-time job in a school, one to relocate to Brazil and the most recent one had to leave suddenly to care for a relative who sustained an injury.
However, my experiences with them has given me much greater confidence that with the right person everyone can have a good time. I had worried due to Noah's SEN but he adapted so quickly I couldn't believe it. There have been zero meltdowns and we laid good foundations with an intro week where I was nearby to jump in if needed (but I wasn't!).
If this is sounds of interest I would love to hear from you.
