About Me
I have a 2.1 degree in Education and Socail Science, as well as DBS, First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safe Guarding qualifications. Plus over 25 years of experience of being a mum and working as a nanny and with over 10 years working with PMLD, YOS, LAC young children. As a mother of 2 chidlren that have now grown up and wish to work with younger children again. I feel it is a privilege to be allowed to spend time with somebody’s little one. I am a muck in nanny and happy to complete small non nanny related tasks whilst I’m at work. I would also be more than happy to complete all nursery tasks. I enjoy baking, cooking, gardening, reading messy play, swimming, paddle boarding, walking, going out to the park, playing games, learning new things and having fun.
My Experience
I have over 10 years experience working with Looked After Children & Special Needs Children; PMLD, ASD, ADHD.
Previously i worked as a tutor for 3 years and as a nanny for 5 years and have 2 children of my own (my eldest daughter now works for the NHS and youngest is doing her GCSE).
Currently I am nannying for 4 families. First family has an 2 year old little girl (I’ve looked after since 6 months old) and go for walks with another nanny on other days where we enjoy going out to play groups etc. Second family has 2 children aged 3 & 6. I do bedtime routines - I use basic Makaton skills to aid SEN needs. Third family I do pick up from school, play dates, homework, dinner and bedtime routines. Forth family I do all day and use my SEN skills to aid independence in learning speech and new skills (including Forest School activities).
I also do regular babysitting for 2 children aged 1 & 5.
I believe fun creative and cross curricular learning is key when looking after children as this is how they learn their milestones.
Enjoy being creative and thinking outside of the box.
I am happy to negotiate my rates for the right family.

Odette is a very energetic nanny with lots of experience. Being a mom of two herself, she has great knowledge of children’s needs at each stage.
She’s also a great mother’s help, very proactive, always looking for something to help with around the house.

A lovely family to work for. I enjoyed going the extra mile to help mum with feeding transitions and work commitments.
We had the pleasure of having Odette join our family for the last 4 weeks as we needed help with school pick up for my eldest son who just started school in September but didn't have access initially to wrap-around care at school.
Odette has been an absolute star. She's come up with so many activities specially tailored to our boy's interests and quickly gained his trust. Our boy has had such fun with her and did loads of different activities: they went to play in the park, baked, did painting, coloring, played board games, etc..
Odette has also been preparing our boy healthy snacks every afternoon and made sure to let me know how their time together went every day.
I can't recommend Odette highly enough, we will miss her very much and wish her all the best in her next adventures.
