My Summary

My Experience

I have spent the majority of my life with younger siblings and providing a helping hand towards their care. Therefore I have experience changing diapers and clothes, feeding, bathing, cooking food and putting children to sleep. As they have grown I have helped them with school work as well as dropping/picking them from school.

My role as a care worker has allowed me to enhance these skills and execute them to a much higher standard. Additional duties include creating a clean, safe environment for the clients and administrating medication, along with following safeguarding policies and procedures.

I also attained work experience at a Nursery where I carried out many tasks including monitoring the children during lunch and break times, preparing snacks, interacting with them during the day and taking part in class activities. I also had the opportunity to do some admin work throughout my time at the Nursery.

During my time at Sixth Form I took part in many extracurricular roles that helped me step out of my comfort zone. These roles included:

Prefect - a group of students were chosen through an interview with superior staff members; we were responsible for creating weekly tutor activities for younger year groups
Peer mentor - supported 1-2 younger students through any personal/academic struggles they were facing
Reading buddy - organised interventions to aid those struggling with reading and helped improve these skills
Learning champion - created presentations and used them to teach lessons on any chosen topic within a subject

I was a full time nanny for 6 months, child aged 16 months+.
Also have experience tutoring MS, child aged 10+.

My Qualifications

I have GCSE’s (A-C) in 9 subjects including English, Maths and Science.
I have 2 A levels and a BTEC foundation diploma in Health and Social Care.
Completed a foundation year in Mechanical and Civil Engineering and now completing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

My Availability

I am a university student so we would have to work around my timetable. My current availability is roughly accurate varies slightly between each week.

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
