About Me

Hello! We are moving to Riverhead from outside of the area in mid July with our two young boys, aged newly 2 and 3 and a half. The boys start nursery three days a week (9.15-2.45) Monday, Wednesday and Friday) in term time from September.

At home in the garden the boys love playing with their mud kitchens, playing football, and in their sandpit. Inside they like playing shops, cafes, creative games with their tent or building a fort using sofa cushions and blankets. Their current favourite game is “fire rescue” where they race around on their ride on vehicles, put out fires and rescue teddies who have got stuck up mountains! 

They generally eat and sleep well and have a good routine with a balance of time with us, nursery and our (brilliant) part time nanny, who sadly we’re leaving behind in East Anglia. We all see her as part of the family and there is a great degree of respect and flexibility when needed on both sides. We are looking to meet someone new who we can also welcome as part of our family. 

If you were able to help out with washing the boys clothes, and tidying up their toys that is always helpful, and the boys are usually very keen to help with both of these activities. 

We’re looking for: 

- a nanny to look after the boys from 3-6 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, which would include making dinner for them, but not bath or bedtime.

- a nanny/babysitter that can offer some flexible help on occasional evenings so my husband and I can go out together a few times a month

We will also need some additional help during the nursery holidays, and so any flexibility there would be much appreciated. We realise we may not find all this availability in the same person, but wanted to share all of our childcare needs in one post.
