About Me
I qualified over 30 years ago with a Btec nursery nursing qualification and then a Montessori diploma with distinction. I have worked in private and state education from ages 0 to 14 years and also as a nanny here and abroad in Switzerland. I have a son and daughter both in their teens and have worked on and off in childcare while also supporting them. My daughters needs at school compelled me to leave my nursery practitioner job for the moment so l am looking for work through occasional babysitting or childminding. I left in June 2024 with up to date safeguarding, health and safety and first aid qualifications.
My Experience
I have had many childcare experiences as above over the last 30 years and now also as a parent with 2 children who have needed extra support. I am currently trying to gain new qualifications in the SEN area. I chose to turn down a place at University to do Art but use my skills in childcare. I also like gardening and had an allotment.
