About Me
Hello, we are an Austrian family and are looking for help with our three kids (daughter, 7 years; son, 4 years, and baby, 1 year), from December/January onwards. We recently moved to the area and are sending our two older kids to the German school (literally around the corner from where we live); the baby is in nursery in Richmond. We are both full-time employed and will therefore need help mainly in the afternoons, till around 7pm - when either one of us gets home from work.
My Requirements
We are looking for a nanny that can do school/nursery pickups (at around 3/4) and stay with the kids till either one comes home from work. Often this is around 7pm. So the nanny would need to prepare dinner for them (this can be done before the school/nursery runs), ideally 5 days a week, and then pick up the kids. Often the pick-up will be only for the older 2, as I will try pick up the youngest from nursery myself when I work from home (currently 3 days a week).
In the mornings, we may sometimes need help with the drop offs, but this is not essential or regularly needed.
If the nanny has more availability during school holidays, this would be ideal (but is not essential, especially not for all school holidays). If the nanny were also somewhat flexible to cover the odd late evening when my husband's and my schedule clash when travelling for work, this would be great too. Or when the kids are sick…
We think that in a normal week this would require around 20-25h.
The kids are fairly 'easy' (normal kids!) and do not have any allergies or anything else worthwhile mentioning.
During quite a few weeks throughout the year my parents are in London and help out, which would reduce the effective hours (but not the pay!) of our nanny. The same goes for when I take leave days beyond the family holidays.
We could also offer more working hours if this is of interest (e.g. by combining work with some household chores or reducing time in nursery for the little one).
