My Summary

My Experience

Currently working at a private nursery, I have been working here for 9 months as a baby room leader I am a key person and I am responsible for completing learning journals, obtaining observations, monitoring my key children’s learning and their development in line with the EYFS. I liaise and work with parents and colleagues on a everyday basis to ensure we are working as a team to create a wonderful and stimulating environment for the children. I support and work with parents towards common goals that they lay out to ensure the children are supported consistently at home and at the nursery setting this makes sure children are constantly reaching goals and developing. I understand that all children learn and develop at their own stage/pace, I know all of the children in my care very well and often use in the moment planning and my own knowledge of the children to adapt activities and learning in order to personally suit the individual child and their learning. On a everyday I care for the children their needs such as toileting, potty training, nappy changing, sleep time (putting the children to sleep), feeding times, serving food at meal times, supporting children in their development by supporting their needs and building confidence to achieve goals. I have a up to date DBS check which is on the government update scheme. I have a Full Paediatric First Aid training qualification as well as Paediatric Anaphylaxis training, as well as this I have various training and qualification’s relating to different areas of my work such as Level 1 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate, safeguarding children, FGM, health and safety, the ‘prevent duty’, cultural capital, awareness of child abuse and neglect, equality, diversity and inclusion of the workplace and essentials of GDPR. I am also Level 3 qualified with the following qualification, ‘NCFE CACHE LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA FOR THE EARLY YEARS WORKFORCE (EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR), date awarded: 29/05/2020.
