About Me

We are a family of 5 (6 including our Labrador!) living in Gillingham, Dorset. Our son is currently 5 and our daughters are 4 and 1. I work 4 days a week and am looking for childcare during term time. All children are very active, love the outdoors and have a really happy, loving little souls.
Our eldest is in school and has complex SEND needs. He has ASD and presents with ADHD and is on the diagnostic pathway for this. He also has a brain abnormality and presents with some sensory and behavioural challenges. He is also really fun, energetic, chatty and inquisitive with an amazing imagination.
He is currently struggling to access wraparound provision and we are initially looking for someone who could be with him at home where he feels more settled in the mornings 4 days a week (not Wednesdays) and take him to school. This will likely extend soon to a couple of school pick-ups and after school care at home too.
Our daughters are currently at nursery, but our middle child will be starting school in Sept 2025, so these hours may extend to include her also if circumstances allow at that time.
We are ideally looking for someone with SEND experience, however this isn't essential for the right fit. We would also be happy to look for specialist training for the right person.
We may also require some ad-hoc babysitting at weekends or evenings very occasionally.
