About Me
Central Park Sparks is predominantly a wraparound childcare setting in East Ham run by Tanya Dean a museum and gallery educator, and mother to two young boys, turned childminder.
I am offering wraparound childminding for Brampton Primary School and Central Park Primary School from September 2024 to help support the local community of working parents. I can offer extended hours by prior arrangement.
My home, conveniently located next to Central Park, offers children a safe and homely place to play and learn - a home away from home. My teaching style is very much about respecting children as whole and unique people, and helping them grow new skills and interests. As a parent l'm all about gentle parenting with clear boundaries, and lots of encouragement of independence. As a childminder I combine these elements.
I am in the final stages of completing registration with SCA childminding agency and am operating as an afterschool babysitter in the interim.
Elsie the cat also lives at the setting, so unfortunately we cannot take anyone with a cat allergy.
My Experience
I am new to childminding but early years education has long been a passion of mine, and after years of wanting to set myself up have taken the opportunity to do so while on maternity leave.
I have 16 years experience working in education, as a learning and engagement officer at various museums and art galleries, and in schools across the country.
In addition to this I have two degrees in education, and am a mother to two boys under 5.

- Safeguarding Children (Level 1 and 2)
- Introduction to the EYFS - Childminding

I have a clear and current enhanced DBS provided by the City of London Corporation (updated December 2023), and another currently pending registered for directly.
My Availability
I am offering collection and after school childminding for Brampton Primary School students. Preference will be given to nursery and reception children as they are most in need of wraparound care, and my setting is most suitable for them. Collection by 6pm.
I can also offer breakfast and drop offs to Brampton Primary School and Central Park Primary School. From 7.30am.
I can offer occasional Saturday care all day, and may be able to offer holiday care in the future.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
Simple pricing for busy parents:
- School pick up and after school childminding - £20/day/child, collection by 6pm
- Breakfast and drop off at school - £10/day/child, drop off after 7.30am
One term minimum, payable half termly.
Extended hours available for £7-10 per hour depending on the request.
I will be able to offer payment via the government app for tax free childcare.
