My Summary

My Experience

1. PART-TIME NANNY EXPERIENCE: In Summer 2021 I worked for two families as a part-time nanny/mother’s help during the week in Greater Manchester. In particular, I assisted one mother with looking after her twin babies, helping with free play, tidying, cleaning and feeding etc. I assisted with housework and helping the families attend baby groups too. She has also very kindly left me a review on here!

2. EDUCATION WORKSHOP VOLUNTEER at the SS Great Britain Trust in Bristol from 2021-22. The school workshops engaged young people with the history of the ship using fun and interactive approaches and activities. I enhanced these workshops and support the workshop leaders by ensuring the children enjoy the workshops and their visits.

3. VOLUNTEER LEARNING CO-ORDINATOR at St. Francis Primary School in Blackburn: I actively supported children in a variety of lessons, from Reception to Year 3. The Head Teacher, Mrs. S. Thomas commented on my enthusiasm and versatility, also noting that I particularly impressed her by always using my ‘own initiative, patience, and sensitivity to vulnerable pupils’.

4. CHILDREN'S ART STUDIO ASSISTANT t at Sugar Lumps Art Studio on weekends: My role at Sugar Lumps allowed me to help children express themselves freely through art and crafts - mostly aged 5-11 years old. I proactively engaged with both parents and children and led a diverse range of creative workshops e.g. baby sensory classes (Reference too!)

5. TUTOR I have tutored my younger sister in English, Maths, Biology and History. I’m currently a History student and I am more than happy to help with home-schooling and homework.
