My Summary

My Experience

My first experience of childcare was looking after my nephew, taking him and picking him up from school and feeding him dinner whilst my family were at work. At 18, I worked as an Au Pair in Australia where I looked after a wonderful 2-year-old girl for 6 months. My duties included; cleaning the house, playing, taking her to the park, preparing and feeding her meals, changing her nappy and bathing her. This was an extremely rewarding experience for me as it was wonderful to witness her grow and develop new skills. As a student, I volunteered at a family contact centre, where I would supervise and play with the children and ensure their safety.
I recently worked as an English Foreign Language (EFL) Teaching Assistant in Thailand and Indonesia, which was a highly valuable experience. During this time, I developed excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills as it required me to learn how to patiently listen, engage, and present to young learners. Within this role, I was required to plan and facilitate lessons and activities and keep children engaged in learning. Whilst a challenging role at times, it taught me the value of patience and how to adapt my methods of communication to suit the students; so that all the children could understand the information I was presenting.

My Qualifications

I have A-Levels in Psychology, Sociology, Geography and History.
I have a First Class Honours Degree in Health and Social Care.
I have a Masters in Equality and Human Rights.
TEFL Level 3 teaching qualification.
Safeguarding qualification.

My Availability

My availability is currently quite flexible, I work two days a week as a researcher but my working days are flexible, so I may be able to adjust my working days to make me available.

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
