My Summary
About Me
**Days available from 7th April - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday**
I’m a fun, energetic, warm and nurturing Nanny, with experience working with children from infancy, through to school ages. I have been working with children for a little over 8 years and love that everyday is a different adventure. I’m highly organised and love to plan activities which will help to develop and extend babies and children’s learning. That may be through making Playdough and learning about weight or counting, or exploring different textures of fabric during some tummy time. I’m a keen believer of children learning through nature. I love the outdoors and have always loved teaching children to love the world around us, so lots of outdoor play and exploring is a key focus of mine.
I believe that children thrive when they feel happy and secure, and that is my core focus. I have experience with young babies and how to make bottles etc. I also have lots of experience with potty training children and have helped many pre-school aged children make the big transition to school.
My Experience
January 2022 - October 2024: Full time professional nanny. During this time I took care of 3 children total. I gained experience with 2 newborns, helping parents when needed. I planned weekly activities for the children, ensuring their needs were met whilst being fun and educational. I traveled with the family on holidays and to visit family abroad. I also provided home cooked meals for the children and batch cooked healthy and delicious snacks.
Feb 2020 - Jan 2022: Early years practitioner working at a local Nursery. During this time I worked in the baby room, helping take care of children aged 6 months - 2 years old. My daily responsibilities included meal & snack times. Following close routines for each child, including bottles, nap and individual nappy care. I would plan daily activities which would help to develop each child’s learning and development. As well as developing a close relationship with each parent.
Jan 2019 - Feb 2020: Full time nanny. During this time I took care of 3 children, aged 1, 3 & 4. Duties included giving the children breakfast, washing and dressing them before continuing with the days activities, where that may be a walk to a park, meeting friends for a play date, getting crafty and creating something, or enjoying some quiet time with stories or a puzzle game. The afternoon would consist of varied nap times, and preparing a healthy snack for them to enjoy. Daily cleaning would also be carried out. The children’s washing, and keeping areas of the house clean and organised.
Jan 2018 - Jan 2019: Early years practitioner, working with children with children aged 1-4. My responsibilities were very similar to my previous nursery job, with experience working with older children and helping to ease the transition from pre-school to reception class.
June 2017 - Jan 2018: Au Pair in Italy. During this time, I lived with the family in Tuscany and took care of 2 children aged 1 1/2, with some additional hours helping the mum take care of her new born baby. My roles included my collecting the children from nursery school and bringing home to put down for a nap. I would prepare a healthy Italian lunch, before playing in the afternoon. I would set up activities or plan to go on a walk.

We are so lucky to have had Libby as a nanny for our 2 -year old son. Where he usually greets strangers with apprehension, he took to Libby right away! From their first meeting, Libby's warm, playful, demeanor totally put him at ease, and the care she took to truly get to know him was remarkable to see.
Somehow, Libby strikes the perfect balance between professional and playful - we had the utmost confidence leaving our son in her capable hands. We knew he would not only be cared for and kept safe, but would have a wonderful time! She organized activities with his interests and capabilities at heart, and as a parent, the BEST thing was hearing them laughing together. She's also a WHIZ in the kitchen and takes the most fantastic photos throughout the day.
I can't recommend Libby enough, she has a gift!

Libby was our nanny for a couple of days a week for a few months and, honestly, she was absolutely fantastic. Our daughter loved her and it seemed Libby loved our daughter right back, which is exactly what you hope for when handing a child over to a nanny. She felt like part of the family from day one and the giggles between her and Isla were almost constant.
Libby would always come prepared with things for Isla to do, from attending classes to visiting museums or farm parks or even gymnastics. She opened our eyes to so many amazing child-friendly activities, which has benefited us as a family even on the days when Libby isn’t with us. She was always punctual and so friendly, and looked after Isla with the right balance of doing what she felt was right and adhering to the way we try to look after Isla ourselves. Routine was always respected and food was always considered. She prepared so many great meals for Isla and would always batch up for us to use the rest of the time, helping us to find new recipes and snacks that Isla loves. Throughout the day she would also send plenty of updates and photos so we knew what was going on.
We’re so sad to see Libby go and will be very envious of whichever family gets her next. She’s been a wonderful influence on Isla and the whole family and we couldn’t recommend her enough.
