Maternity Cover Nanny Needed

Start date: 6th January 2025
Covering for 10 months from this date as maternity cover

Hours of work:
School term time: Monday – Thursday 07:45am – 16:45pm
School holidays: Monday – Thursday 08:00am – 17:00pm
(Some additional hours may be occasionally required for weekend and evening babysitting but this will be paid as overtime)

Duties and responsibilities:
• Attending to our 3 year old daughter’s needs – drop off and pick up from school (based in Newcastle), playtime, education, creativity
• All meal preparation for our daughter (including breakfast, lunch and dinner)
• Completing regular cycles of our daughter’s laundry and ironing as required
• Keeping play areas and bedroom clean and tidy (hoovering and dusting if required)
• Driving our daughter to activities, play dates and clubs as necessary
• Providing appropriate developmental and educational activities at home and outdoors
• Occasionally running family errands e.g. picking up prescriptions, shopping etc.
• Occasional support with looking after dog e.g. feeding them (not dog walking)
• Potential support and care for additional child family members

Salary: Paid as hourly rate plus mileage and expenses

Holidays: 24 days per annum (including bank holidays) pro rata for the maternity contract period.

Accommodation: This is a live out position, but overnight accommodation with own bathroom is provided if required occasionally. Nanny has full access to kitchen, laundry room and all other communal areas of the house.

Use of car: Nanny needs to use their own car for this role but mileage for work purposes within working hours is covered. This will be logged and reclaimed at current HMRC allowance rates.

Expenses: A card will be provided for all expenses as required.
