About Me
Hi, my name is Amanda. I have worked in a private day nursery from 2009-2023 where I cared for children and babies from the ages of 6 weeks- 5 years. From 2023 until now, I have been working for a supply teaching agency for primary schools and secondary schools.
I have a BA(hons) in Education & SEN which I completed in 2020 and my specialty is with SEN children. I am based in Manchester and my partner lives in London so I am able to flexibly move between both locations for work.
During my free time, i enjoy going for walks, parks, picnics, i like to attend ballet classes and also have experiences in dance and movement classes with early years children. I consider myself to be a very organised and tidy person and am happy to help out with household chores. I love pets, especially dogs and cats but my favourite animals have to be donkeys and chickens. I like to do cooking and baking and am a fresh foodie lover.
I am experienced in the child led learning approach and learning from the environment and using the child's interests to enrich their learning experience which makes for lots of fun but educational activities which can keep the child engaged and focussed in what they are doing. I believe that every child is unique and different and enjoy getting to know their cheeky personalities.
