About Me
I was a teacher for 8 years and while on maternity having my daughter, I studied and am now a Special Educational Needs Coordinator in a large mainstream primary. I am looking to continue teaching outside of school in a 1:1, paired or small group setting. I have 4 years experience of tutoring, including children with English as an additional language. I have experience with SEN and am able to adapt lessons to keep them engaging and accessible to a range of needs. I aim to make learning enjoyable and try to keep lessons as active and creative as possible.
My Experience
I have taught in Reception, year 1, year 2, year 3, year 6, prepared children for SATs, Phonics screenings, timetables tests and the 11+. I have also been privately tutoring for over 4 years, both online and face to face.
My Qualifications
I have and Early Childhood Studies degree and a PGCE, qualified teacher and Post Graduate National award for SEN coordination.
My Availability
I am currently available Tuesday - Friday Weekday evenings and would be happy to discuss weekends.
