About Me
I am a 31 year old Social Sciences student living in Montrose. I am a friendly, easy going, warm and free spirited individual who enjoys letting my inner child flourish in everything I do.
I believe in working in a child centred way. I think it is important to nourish each child as an individual and facilitate their interests, learning, independence, curiosity, creativity and relationship with nature.
In my free time I love to paint and craft, practice yoga, circus sports and spend as much time in nature as possible - hiking, camping, cycling, forraging and learning about native plant species. I am learning to play guitar at the moment as music is one of my biggest joys in life. I love the opportunity to share my passions with the children I care for and to learn and try new hobbies from them in return.
I enjoy cooking healthy nutritious food, I believe a healthy diet is key for a healthy mind and body.
I can help with home work if required. I am happy to look after any child of school age (or there about). I have worked with children with ASN and I am happy to do so but this is not my speciality so if your child has complex needs I would advice finding someone who specialises in this area and so can offer optimum support.
I am double vaccinated against covid 19.
I am happy to take on home helping, nannying, babysitting, and tutoring roles on an adohoc, emergency or regular basis.
My Experience
I have over 8 years of childcare experience, co-ordinatoring a successful after school club before leaving my job to become a full time social sciences student. During this time I also worked in various crèches and volunteered for Befriend a Child. Over my time in these roles I gained vast experience working with children and families from various backgrounds and took part in extensive training.
My Qualifications
I have an SVQ3 in Social Services: Children and Young People. I also have numerous training certificates including first aid and food hygiene, however some of these have expired since leaving my job. My certificate folder is available on request. I also have some experience housekeeping for air b and bs.
My Availability
I am available from September onwards, I will be studying 3 days a week but have yet to get my timetable. I will update this when I do and I will work around it to find a schedule that works for both of us.

I love what I do and I am passionate about my work. I understand child care fees can be a real struggle to afford, especially during the cost of living crisis, so I have kept my fees as low as possible. ? I am, however, 31 years old, self employed, working unsociable hours - often at short notice -, with a qualification and many years of childcare and life experience. I have taken all of these factors on board when deciding my fee.
