My Experience

I have seven years experience working in childcare; working in various nursery settings and a charity supporting children with additional needs. My main experience within childcare has been working with children aged 0 - 5 years, supporting them in learning new skills and knowledge in their development. Through providing various resources and activities that help the children to learn and grow within their play. The most rewarding aspect is to see the children i work with enjoy and achieve their goals with my support. In supporting children within the nursery settings, my main responsibility was ensuring the children's care and learning needs were addressed and met through working closely the children's families to maintain consistency for the children. Recently i have been learning 'Makaton' sign language to help children with their communication, to help the children learn and build their confidence to express their feelings and needs.
I have a full DBS check, a full clean license, first aid trained, carried out various training courses on safeguarding and training on the up to date Early Foundation Stage Framework that provides the framework on children's learning and development.
Through my working experience, i have also encountered multi-agency working; working for a short period as a Police officer, supporting and protecting the public. Through working as an officer, i have worked with social services, safeguarding boards, schools and families, to ensure all the children and their families are safe, looked after and protected.
I also have four children, aged 2, twins aged 4 and a 6 year old at home.
I ideally would like a permanent position where I can apply my skills and experience in childcare within an environment that will provide me with a challenge, and allow me the opportunity to learn and ultimately make a difference to an individual’s life.

My Fees

• Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)

To be negotiated with the family if my application was successful; for this type of work in the past I have received around £11.00 to £13.00 an hour.
