About Me
My name is Gemma and I am 38 years old and live with my husband, my two sons ( 13 and 3) and our dog Lola, who is a Beagle and is very friendly. She is five years old and we have had her since she was 8 weeks old so she is used to being around children. We have lived in our family home since February 2016, where we have created a loving, fun environment for our children. Becoming a Childminder is the next logical step for me. It combines my love of working with children and the challenge of running my own business.
My Experience
From a very young age I have always wanted to work with children and at the age of 17 followed my dreams in caring and helping children to develop to be the best they can by helping them to build confidence in their ability to achieve, both academically and socially. I have been able to do this in a nursery setting of nearly 10 years and then went off to work in a school as a teaching assistant for 5 years, which has given me experience in looking after children from birth to 11 years old. I have also had experience working with children who have had additional needs. My greatest experience working with children is having my own two boys. This has given me the knowledge of how to provide a loving, safe and fun home from home environment and I know how hard it is to leave your precious children with other people.

My Availability
I am available for before and after school cover for the children who attend Stanhope school and Westdale primary (both walking distant).
I am available from 7:30 until 5:30 Monday to Thursday

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Daily rate (from 7.30am-5:30pm) is £48 this includes all snacks, meals, toddler groups.
Before school care from 7.30am – school £7.50. Includes breakfast
After school- school pick up-5:30pm £15. Includes evening meal

Such an amazing childminder. My daughter has never been so happy and settled in childcare. Everyday she comes home with the biggest smile. Lots of activities provided.

Couldn’t be happier with the quality of care. My little one had such fun there, really quick to reply about any queries and a lovely family for children to be around. Great care and healthy food to go with it. Highly recommend, will be using for the future

For the past few months Gemma has been looking after my daughter Ava, she has been doing school pick ups and drop offs from westdale Lane also supporting us with holiday care. Gemma is the most kind and caring person we know her love and passion for children development shine through.
In the few months Ava has been going to Gemma's her confidence has grown she loves going there (to the point she doesn't want to come home) Ava is a little fusy with eating but Gemma always gives choices and the menu is always health and balanced so i know she eats well.
I think is the biggest thing for parents looking for a childminder is knowing they are safe and 100% cared for.
I can honestly say Gemma has become a massive part of Avas life along with her development and growth and learning new skills.
If your looking for somone who will put everything into supporting your child to grow, be health, learn new skills and be kind then look no further. Gemma you are amazing and we truly appreciate everything you do for us and Ava. (The Bane household) xxxx

Gemma truly is amazing with children and has done wonders for mine over the years. Noah loves her set up at home and never wants to leave plus he learns so much through play when he's there. she's constantly finding new ways to help them grow and learn I couldn't recommend her enough
