My Requirements

Live Out Nanny
Part Time Nanny

my boy Ethan, who turned 2 in November, is starting nursery and we are looking for a nanny to pick him up and look after him 12- 6, Monday to Friday. (5pm finish on a Friday)

If we find the right candidate, we would love for them to continue through to school as well. He has been accepted in school already and will be starting nursery there at 3 (September 2024) which will also be finishing just before 12. In a terms of the nanny, we are looking for someone who is kind, experienced and patient. As a family, we always try to explain and communicate with our son on why he can / can’t do things . Whilst this can require patience we find he responds much better with this approach. He is sensitive boy so someone being compassionate towards him will be key to building a strong bond.

In terms of the house, we like to keep our home very tidy and clean (ie no outside shoes, no muddy clothes on furniture etc, no eating unless on the table, buggy gets folded and left by the front door) and would like the nanny to continue with the good habits Ethan has built.

Once the Nanny has picked up Ethan from nursery, he will go for a nap and are then are keen to keep him engaged for the remainder of the afternoon. This includes playing with him at home, coming up with different games/activities, as well as potentially taking him to local classes or for a walk in Kew Gardens which is c. 5 minutes away from us (we will supply the nanny with yearly membership to be able to do so). At the end of the day we would then ask the Nanny to help feed Ethan before we start his bedtime routine once the nanny has left.

In times when Ethan is sleeping or any other available time we would be grateful for any support around the house. This could include folding some of Ethan’s clothes that have been washed, preparing some meals for Ethan or occasionally getting something from the shop while on walk with him as well.

We have some flexibility with our work (especially on Fridays) so if the nanny is able to assist with other house tasks (e.g. chopping some vegetables / helping with dinner prep this would be nice to give us the opportunity to play with him but not essential neither a requirement.
