About Me
I have been childminding for over 20 years and within that time have had two Outstanding inspections. I am married with two daughters aged 26 and 23. Choosing to become a childminder in the early years, enabled me to be a full time mum to my daughters as well as offering my time to look after other children. Looking after little ones is very rewarding which is why I choose to continue doing what I do!
I do school runs: Drop off and collect from St Francis Catholic Primary, drop off to Westborough Primary and collect from Palace Wood Primary.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience with children. I have been registered with Ofsted as a childminder since October 2005, am a member of PACEY and am eligible to accept the funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. I run a Toddler Group so regularly meet up with lots of other children.
My main aim is 'to provide a home from home environment so that your child feels safe, secure and happy in my care'. Your child would be welcomed into my home as if they were my own.
My Qualifications
Introducing Childminding Practice
First Aid in Paediatric (incl Anaphylaxis training)
Safeguarding Children and Thresholds for Intervention
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home-Based Childcare
Am eligible to accept the Government funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds
(both 15 hours and 30 hours - please call me to discuss)
I regularly attend training courses, when available, in line with my CPD (details on request)

Opening hours:
Monday - Thurs : 0630 - 1800
However, I am flexible and will try to accommodate your requirements should the above hours not suit.

My daughter started with Nicola in 2016. I was very nervous about my daughter having a childminder as I always thought I would go for a nursery. However through recommendation I chose to see Nicola and I am so glad I did. My daughter had the best time at Nic Nics right from when she started at 1 years old, through to her starting school at 4. During that time I also brought my son to Nic Nics at 9 months and I’m sad to say that he’ll be moving on at the end of this year due to my own circumstances. Nicola’s home is a perfect home from home environment for children, and I really couldn’t have asked for anything more from a childminder. She’s flexible, offers brilliant homemade meals, fun days out and offers such quality childcare for a humble price. She loves the children who come into her home and has very good communication with parents. Highly recommend this lovely lady!

My daughter has been with Nicola for nearly 3 years, from the age of 9 months. She has been very happy there and I am happy knowing that she is in a safe, happy, healthy environment. She gets healthy meals, lots of opportunity to play outdoors in the garden or indoors in the playroom when the weather is bad, regular outings to parks, libraries, playgroups and many trips further afield to see and do new things. Nicola is always welcoming and helpful and extremely professional and organised. I would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone looking for a childminder in the Maidstone area.
