About Me
My name is Laura Jefferies, I am a registered childminder, currently working term time only-Monday to Thursday, with availability from September 2025.
I am based in Bexleyheath and live with my 3 children aged 8, 7, and 4. We are a smoke free household.
I completed an NNEB CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing 25 years ago and I have been working in a range of early years settings ever since, therefore I have extensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
I became a childminder in September 2022 after having my third child.
I am a qualified Forest School Leader and hold Early Years Professional Status (level 6).
As a forest school leader I like to spend a lot of time outside in all weathers, I offer a home form home environment while being able to provide a range of stimulating activities based around all children's interests.
My Experience
I have worked as an Early Years Practitioner in day nurseries and in a nursery school. I have also previously held the position of Deputy Nursery Manager where I also acted as the settings SENCO.
I ran a play room in a French ski resort for a ski season, as well as holding a similar role in Lapland over the Christmas period. I have also worked as a Nanny for 2 different families in the U.S.A.
While working in nurseries I have undertaken a number of different courses based around all aspects of early years, including an in-depth course in Speech and Language and on becoming a SENCO.
I hold a degree in Education and have Early Years Professional status and a level 3 Forest School Leader qualification.
I set up and ran a Forest School in one of my previous nurseries and worked within a team of Forest School Leaders in a Large Forest School in another setting.

My Availability
I work Monday to Thursday on a term time only basis from 7:30am to 5:30pm and charge a daily rate.
I currently have spaces on a Monday to Thursday from September 2025.

Laura was an excellent child minder for the period we used her.
Loads of excursions, loads of activities and our son thoroughly enjoyed it.
Wish we could have stayed longer but we moved from the area.

Laura has been childminder to both of my sons, my 1 year old is currently with her. I am extremely happy with the service Laura provides, she creates a great atmosphere for them, providing stimulative play and they enjoy lots of out door activities, as well as in doors. I am kept updated throughout the day with pictures and messages. Overall, I highly recommend Laura.

Laura is very friendly and professional, my little boy thoroughly enjoys his time with her. She does a variety of activities and sends lots of photo updates throughout the day. Feels like a very safe pair of hands.
