Hello! I’m Rhianne and I run Bluebells & Blossoms childminding from my home close to the centre of Sittingbourne. We have utilised our space by designing the downstairs of our home to be solely dedicated to an in-home style nursery. Everything is child level and designed to meet development requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. I am a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator and I’ve also obtained a few other qualifications including a Level 3 in SEND and an NCFE CACHE Level 3 EY SENCO qualification. Why Childminding? After working in childcare, primarily in nursery and pre-school roles, I found I desired to create a more family orientated childcare setting with that personal touch whilst keeping some of the same benefits that nurseries can offer. Being able to spend more quality time with every child enables me to provide a unique child-led approach that I felt I wasn't achieving as a nursery practitioner. I’ve tried my best to create this image at Bluebells and Blossoms which started in February 2022. I am constantly self-evaluating and adapting my setting environment to improve – which also means the children have little chance to become uninspired! I love the Reggio Emilia approach as well as Montessori inspired resources and have created my setting with these theories of teaching in mind.
At Bluebells and Blossoms, family is at the heart of everything we do. It's the foundation of our values and why we are proud to remain solely family-run.
My husband, Jordan, shares his passion for the natural world with the children, using his expertise as a horticulturalist to teach the children about gardening, changing seasons and how things grow.
At the beginning of 2025, we were thrilled to welcome my mum, Lou, to the team. As a qualified Primary School Teacher, she brings a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in nurturing young minds. Her creative approach to education and her ability to tailor learning experiences to each child's needs will bring so much value to our setting. Together we create a warm, inspiring environment where every child can blossom at their own pace.

I was struggling to find a childminder that would have our daughter with her being such a young age and having only a small amount of time before being back to work and I found bluebells and blossoms.
Rhianne and Sophie have been absolutely amazing with Aurora and she has settled in very well and developed a close bond with them both which took a while because she wouldn’t even leave my side without crying, but they were very patient with her and with the knowledge and experience they have shows they are very passionate about what they do. And it was a great feeling when I was able to drop her off for the first time and she didn’t even cry which the settling sessions helped a lot.
The placement is great and our daughter is very happy, safe and is developing & learning new things she loves to play and explore new things we are very grateful.😊

We were recently let down with our previous childminder at short notice and found Bluebells and Blossoms and wow what a blessing in disguise it really has been.
Rhianne and Sophie have been absolutely fantastic with our little boy who has previously had difficultly settling at other childcare settings. One of the big things that drew us to them when we first met, was how much their experience and knowledge shone through not only in their setting, but in them as a team. It’s also obvious that they really care and are passionate about what they do, which for us was an absolute must!
We were so impressed with their settling in process, everything felt like such a personal experience and that has certainly continued since he has started his sessions.
We can’t even truly begin to express how grateful we are to the both of them for taking such good care of our son. He’s confident, secure, happy, safe and we really trust them to look after him. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
