Hello everyone. My name is Alexis, and I'm 41 years young!
I'm originally from Warners end in Hemel hempstead, but I moved to Berkhamsted 19 years ago.
I bought an apartment by the canal in the new development of Sheldon Way.
Since moving here, I've acquired 2 cats and had my son, who is now almost 9 years old and my only child.
He attends a local primary school. He loves playing with the little ones, and they love having an older child to play with. He's like an older brother to all the kids in my care. He's very helpful with them, too.
I'm available for childcare all day from 0800 till 1830 every week day.
Pick up's from Bridgewater primary school.
My apartment is fully equipped to cater to all your childs care needs working towards the EYFS framework. Games, age appropriate toys, puzzles, water play, outside mud kitchen, sand pit, tee pee, wendy house, building blocks, dolls, interactive toys, learning cards, books, sensory toys and lights, music, sing a longs with actions.
My home is in a cul de sac location on a new build estate, it's extremely family friendly, quiet with very little traffic as there is no through road. there is a green playing area just outside my home where I often take the children to play and get fresh air and exercise.
I have a small outside space with a little wooden kitchen, wooden playhouse, soft sofa with blanket or table and chairs with parasol, also a large chalkboard and lots of play food. I've tried to make the best out of my outdoor space.
It's not directly in the sun either so great for the children skin safety. I take the children outside every day for walks around the local area.
I drive a 7 seater car equipped with child car seats and a double buggy
it is just myself and my son who live at my home, so nobody else is coming and going.
My Experience
Ofsted registered childminder since September 2022 with regular children in my care. parents very happy with the care and kindness provided.
21 years experience working in a care setting looking after vulnerable people with a varied range of illnesses and disabilities.
8 years experience being a mother to my son.
17 years experience providing childcare for my 2 nieces. I have provided care for them 3 days a week for over 11 years now whilst my sister works.
That included bathing, dressing, nappies, feeding, walks, playing, holidaying together, driving to appointments and parties.
I've provided babysitting for many friends and colleagues over the years too.
My son regularly has friends over for the day, up to 3 at a time. I cook for them and keep them entertained and happy.
I'm ofsted registered and awaiting my first inspection. I have all the necessary training required.

Alexis was looking after my little girl ,Everyday i would see my daughter coming home very happy ,
Everyday we would get some lovely pictures of her day which helped my day go better being at work , it would put a big smile on my face , receiving the pictures of her at the park, or painting or her favourite was the zoo
I shouldn’t miss out the lovely things my daughter would make with Alexis ,some lovely creative memories to keep
