About Me

I am a caring, reliable and bubbly individual with a passion for life. I moved to England from Italy in 2013 after completing my Bachelor’s degree in education.

I have always been passioned about children since I was young and so I decided to turn this passion into a career. Family time is important to me as well as spending time with my friends and travel. I love nature, gardening, cooking, crafting and reading and I use these skills to introduce children to new experiences. I am very patient with the little ones and I can read their favourite books or sing their favourite songs on repeat.

I love to support children through a variety or learning opportunities that promote the development of their personal, social and emotional skills, communication and language skills and physical skills (gross and fine motor), such as messy play, physical games, drawing and painting, cooking, interacting with other children at play groups or classes and treasure hunts in nature.

Organisation skills, time management and the ability to quickly adapt to situations are strong skills of mine. I understand the importance of routines, choices and healthy boundaries to help children to feel in control of their day and their life, as this promotes a positive self-image and confidence.

I hope to help a lovely family to look after their child/ren in the safety of their home environment and to make a positive impact in their lives.

My Experience

I am an Italian speaking Early Years professional with more than 7 years experience caring for children.

I have worked with all ages, from 5 months old to 5 years old children. I have worked as a key person in early years settings, so I am very familiar with child's development stages and strategies to support each individual child to reach their full potential. Each child is unique, with their own interests and inclinations and it is important to be aware of this when supporting them with their development. I believe that learning should be an enjoyable process, based on the child's interests and through playful and enriching experiences. Through such learning opportunities I can support children to develop in all 7 areas of learning, and consequently support for school readiness. The first 5 years of life are the most important formative years in a person's life as they can lay down the foundation for a bright future, so it is important to support our little ones to build important skills such as resilience, independence and self-esteem.

So far I have been supporting two families, one with a 9 months old baby boy and another one with two boys aged 2 and a half and 4 years old. Daily duties have been: preparing daily activities to support the children’s interests and development, cooking homemade nutritional meals, doing the children’s laundry, ensuring that the children’s rooms and common spaces are clean and tidy.

I have also worked as a Deputy Manager, Leader of Learning and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) in my previous settings, which gave me the valuable opportunity to continue to support children of all ages whilst creating ad hoc learning plans alongside specialist such as speech and language and physiotherapy professionals.

I love working with children and I am now looking to support families outside a nursery setting. I have done countless courses to help me provide a high-quality care, such as Paediatric First Aid course, Positive Interaction, Behaviour Management, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and more.

It was my first time leaving my 9month old and for a short period I needed not only a nanny, but someone with the passion to care for my little one. Elisa filled in perfectly!
I would highly recommend her as her experience taking care of little ones is amazing!
We were all happy and miss Elisa!!!
