Patient, positive, kind Tutor and Babysitter.
Teaching is my calling and passion and I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience at all levels and SEN. As a person and educator, I am kind, positive, genuine and patient. I’m also supportive, reliable, responsible, innovative, and creative.
I also have several years of babysitting experience for babies, toddlers and young children. I recently spent a month as a live-in nanny for a 5 year old child. When I babysit, I interact with the children the entire time, focusing on their needs - playing, reading, etc.
My background is multi-cultural European with an American accent, as I was raised and educated in the United States. My hobbies include art & design and I have a previous career as a furniture designer. I also enjoy learning, so my studies have been continuous and lifelong. Other interests are dance, travel, and ancient cultures.
I attended top universities and have a MA, BA, and another degree in the next year.
My Experience
8 Years experience as a Babysitter, Tutor, Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, and previously Adjunct Professor. Available as a travel tutor during school breaks or as a long-term tutor to travel with the family.
SEN SUPPORT
I offer eight years of experience in education at all levels, an aptitude on the behaviour and needs of children with Autism and SEN, and my dedication, caring and commitment to my students.
I recently worked as a Learning Support Assistant at a top independent secondary school for children with learning disabilities.
My knowledge of Autism spectrum disorders and learning disabilities is extensive and I use innovative methods with significant successful results.
TUTORING
Maths:
I have tutored maths at all levels and have had great success with innovative methods. My maths education is well beyond calculus, but I prefer tutoring primary and secondary maths.
Politics & Social Sciences:
I tutored and taught political science and American history for 6 years. I have a BA and MA in International Relations, but I prefer tutoring primary and secondary social sciences, geography, history, politics. I also will tutor university American Politics as I previously taught that subject at that level.
Science:
I tutored primary and high school science. I have enough university maths, science, engineering and technology credits for a Bachelor of Science, but they were from various universities where I lived and I studied them for fun and not a degree. I enjoy tutoring science at the primary level as the kids find the subject as fascinating as I do.
English:
I tutored English - reading, writing, literature. American English is my primary language and I’m very comfortable tutoring reading and writing at all levels.
Art, Design & Technology
I enjoy tutoring Art and Design & Technology at all levels. I have a previous career in design and a degree in drawing and drafting for architecture and design. My experience was as a furniture designer and drafter for manufacturing. I know CAD, 3D design, 3D printing, woodworking, metalworking, and art: painting and drawing.
Other subjects:
Very familiar with religious studies and can tutor all levels.
Very familiar with nutrition and can tutor food tech.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £35.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
Fees begin at 12 for baby-sitting, 25-35 for tutoring depending on the age, needs, location; and 30-50 for SEN and intensive tutoring. Negotiable for summer and half-term travel tutor.
